Disneyland Guide Maps

Does anyone know when Disneyland first started issuing Guide Maps (similar to those they hand out at the turnstiles today)? I remember them in the late 80s, but was curious if this dates back to park opening? I know they sold large wall maps...but did they also provide/sell small maps to use for the day?
