Hope it thaws out by the time I get there!

We are at WDW now and it is really, really cold - like 25 degrees in the morning. But we will be back in only 27 days. It will be warmer, for sure.

*Very* slight change of plans. It was over $400 more to fly on the 19th, so we're going down the 18th and staying a night in All Star Music ($166 with the AP discount).

Can't do park reservations until my daughter has her schedule, which she will on the 5th and 12th for the two weeks. Dinners are easy enough with hopping, though. Also, we're taking a bunch of her fellow CP friends out to Tappan Edo on the 22nd.

We did get GEO 82 for lunch on the 21st as we figured she wouldn't be off on a Saturday.

Do you you purchase them and accept what it gives you at first and then try to modify or do you try to select times when you are purchasing? I will be purchasing for 8. We're not doing lightning lanes. This is our first trip back to WDW since 2011. We did Disneyland in 2017. In both of those trips, free paper fast passes were in use. I've researched the lightning lanes quite a bit, since planning this trip and here are my thoughts.

• First, I'll say, I understand each family and plan is unique, so what's good for us, I don't expect to be good for everyone else. I'm not trying to cause a fuss, with what I'm guessing may be a less popular opinion. I'm just sharing a different perspective. That said..
• I'll admit, this whole paying for fast passes just doesn't sit well with me. With that in mind, we're willing to see how things go this trip. Our mindset is, I've been going to WDW since the 70s and we've been going as a family since the 80s, so I expect to wait in lines. I know the old paper system was kind of a fun way to avoid some lines, but we've still always made the best of the lines. We look for hidden Mickey's, we take in the special elements in the queues, we talk about the last ride and the next ride, we plan meals and we talk and play games.
• We very much value flexibility in our trips. Some of our most enjoyable aspects of visiting the parks is wandering and seeing what makes each park unique. For me, planning my rides to a point where I have to plan where I'm going to be a few weeks out, then have to chase new rides on my phone to get my money's worth, just didn't appeal to me. Most of the 2nd half of our week is intentionally left open, so we can jump wherever we want to catch things we've missed or want to do again.
• We've always done rope drop, so we'll be doing that again. We're early risers and love experiencing the parks in the early morning, before the worst of the crowds show up. We take mid-day breaks, then head back to close the parks each night. That has always worked for us, we're hoping it will work this time.
• We do buy park hoppers and we are doing the after-hours parties for Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. The park hoppers help with our flexibility. With the after-hours parties, I expect to get some short ride lines and we'll enjoy seeing the parks lit up at night.

Has anyone had success booking Keys to the Kingdom 3/14 and beyond? My trip starts that day and I am staying on site but haven’t seen any availability. Not sure if they’re booked up or just haven’t been released yet.

I want to start off by saying my daughter and I have APs and are in the parks much more than my son and husband. We're going during Orange County's spring break, so I anticipate LL prices to be super high. I won't buy LL for the days her and I are going to the parks (MK and EPCOT). We'll rope drop MK, do whatever rides we can and meet Stitch. We're staying at the Beach Club, so we'll rope drop Remy and wander around World Showcase.

My husband and son are joining us for one park day, DHS and then hopping to EPCOT for dinner. Husband has lower patience with crowds (he's so good to me!), so I'll splurge on LL for the 4 of us and do Smuggler's Run, MMRR, and maybe Star Tours as a throwaway LL for first thing in the morning, allowing us to book at EPCOT and hopefully get an evening Remy or Frozen if they're not sold out. We'll prob get single LL for Rise.

Please add me! March 20-26 at OKW (of course) in 1 bed villa. Arriving on the 19th and staying across the street from DDS for the first night.
Background story. Was engaged in Nov 24. in FLA. Moved to another state with him (I work remotely). We watched a new house be build for 9 months - he walked out the day before the house walkthrough.
Now the fun part! Reconnected with a former love and it is magical for both of us. He's been to WDW once in 1982 and barely did anything. He is actually excited (65 years old) and looking at fun Disney shirts to buy (Tommy Bahama).
I am over the moon - 2025 was beyond horrific in so many ways. Sadly, not all of it can be fixed but life goes on.

I am too excited to concentrate on work. Haven't felt this excited about a trip in almost a decade.

Hi everyone, I am going with my siblings March 10 - 14. Wasn't originally planning it but my brother has a tendency to be impulsive. LOL!

My sister qualifies for Shades of Green and the waitlist just came through. I'm excited because we get deluxe perks of the extended evening hours...not sure how we will use them but the fact that we *can* is fun.

We fly out in a week from today, just checked my weather app and it says 12-15 inches of snow at the airport on our departure day!
I'm looking at flying out a day early or just canceling my flights and driving.

My 2 cents would be to look up the best meteorologist in your area, not just a TV personality, but someone with actual creds as a meteorologist. There's usually one in every major city market.

A meteorologist will have access to multiple models and if they're worth anything, they'll be looking at all of those models to come up with a forecast. Your phone app, 9 times out of 10, uses one model with no interpretation. I don't trust them more than a day or two out. I really don't 100% trust any forecast that's a week out. You might have an indication of what might happen, but no one worth their salt is going to give specific snow totals that far out. It's just too complicated of a science to do that with any accuracy this far out.

I'm not saying don't keep an eye out or prepare for the worst. I'd just make sure you're using accurate data before you jump to a plan that's going to cost you money, time, etc.
