Hey--aren't you supposed to be at DCA right now young lady??????

I went yesterday. It was great! We got there a few minutes before opening and Soarin' already had a line! So we grabbed FP and rode everything in PP (including the ferris wheel and carousel) in an hour it was great!
It was even warm enough to ride GRR, sadly I was wearing jeans but NO chafing occurred :lmao:

We even saw the Aladdin musical. I LOVE the genie. It was hilarious! I'm going again next weekend. (DL 5/9 and DCA 5/10)

I can attest to that, I was there January 6 in 2007, and it was 87 degrees. Very hot for that time of year. This year, when I went the 3rd week of February with my dd, it was between 85 and 90 one of the days as well. I'm getting tired of sweating at DLR! I think I preferred our rainy visit in November last year. Cool weather -- empty park. LOVELY. :cloud9:
We went last January, and that's how it was then; cool and empty. It drizzled one night, but I was prepared so I had ponchos with me.

I GOT TAGGED!!! It's the saying that I put there, but now it's in color!!! I feel so special :lovestruc Thank you Tag Fairy!!!
That's great!!! I love that.

Congrats to you all with new tags:thumbsup2

I sent DH to go get donuts because I can::woohoo:
:lmao: You need a tag too! Say something embarrassing and then you'll probably get one. :rotfl2:

Good afternoon ladies!! I hope you all are having a good week-end so far. :)

I've received more replies to my PMs so I thought I'd update the list of ladies choices for which month they prefer:

1. January or February
2. whenever the best deals are on or February
3. October or maybe February
4. early November
5. March or February
6. can't go
7. mid January or September
8. can't go
9. can't go
10. anytime other then mid March thru end of April
11. late February
NEW ONES:
12. when it's not to hot or too cold, will probably go anytime the trip is
13. not sure if she'll go
14. end of Feb.
15. Feb., March, or late April
16. Nov. 2008 or end of Feb. '09
17. January or November
18. not sure if she'll go
19. anytime but summer months, prefer May, Oct, early Dec, or Feb.
20. early May or Oct.

From what I can tell, I seem to notice lots of end of Feb, a few Spring (April or May) and some Fall (Oct. or early Nov.)

Obviously if we go expecting a certain temperature weather wise, we could be in for a shock. It's just to unpredictable.

Anyways, just wanted to give an update. I am still waiting to hear from a few. Then maybe we can get a poll going that would include those who went last time, and also give any new ladies a chance to vote.

Hey Shelley! I just noticed you got a new tag too! Congrats!

I love our thread. It's so pretty now. :rotfl2:

ETA: I just saw that Callie got a new tag as well. I think it fits her nicely. :rolleyes1 :duck:

I almost missed my tag. I figured I had managed to avoid the tag fairy's wicked humor.

That's what I get for picking on the "castle".

Congrats to everyone who has gotten a tag so far.

I just peeked at everyone's pictures on Shutterfly--we have a great group of photogs among us (myself not included . . . . ) Ruth especially--my gosh where did you find time to take all those?

Oh and Shelley--I love the "praying for a good meal" it did look like that!

Hi everyone,

I am guilty of drive-by readings - not even popping in for a hello.

Sometime ago, it was asked what was the most significant thing for me on our Ladies Weekend. I'd have to say that the most significant thing for me was the VIP tour. I would have to say that is one of my highlights ever at Disneyland. (I wish we had got JD's phone number!)

Other than that, I was really happy to meet so many of you & get to know you a little & share some fun at Disneyland. I wish I had made the Jazz Kitchen dinner. I would really have liked to have met Lorealle.

I had so much fun on Friday that my dd, Kelly, wanted to come with me on Saturday. (You may have seen her lately - Daisuke - though don't ask me to pronounce her name )

If it weren't so hot I/we would have spent more time with you ladies, and I look forward to more mini/big meets (somebody DID say June, right?). Also, Chris & I had talked about doing Hollywood as a group - how fun would that be. :sunny:

Hi Mary Jo! I'm so glad I got to meet you. I wish we could have spent more time together, but I can understand about the heat. I was sweating most of the day!!

I hope you can meet up with us in June. I'd love the chance to get to hang out with you again.

Oh, and Hollywood as a group would be a HOOT!!! I think we should definitely work a side trip day into our next big meet. We can all take a pic in front of Frederick's of Hollywood or all cram into the Disney Soda Fountain next to the El Capitan! :rotfl:

I GOT A TAG!!!! WHOO HOO!!!!!!!:cool1:

THANK YOU TAG FAIRY! :worship: :worship: :worship:

I feel like a "real" DISer now! :goodvibes
YAY!!!! Cool tags! :thumbsup2

Cool tags, everyone!

I gotta tell a story about some friends who went to Hollywood. They had gone to a country western place on Sunset, and let's just say that they were dressed to get some man-attention, and had been having a good time at that place.

They decided to go to Fredericks of Hollywood, and were looking for a bus to go to Hollywood Blvd. (forget why they didn't drive)... Well, they were walking up the street, and passed by an outdoor cafe, when they heard loud whispering from some obvious out-of-town tourists, "Look at those hookers over there." They looked behind them and were wondering where the hookers were, and then they realized that the tourists were talking about THEM! :rotfl2:

This friend of mine has some humdinger stories ... I just call her 'free spirit.' ;)

Was that you, Chris and Lesley??? :rolleyes1

One more thing I found on our trip, my Christmas present from my DH. I showed some of you, and I made sure I visited it every day we were there.

Stacie: that is SO cool!!!

Okay, now THAT is funny. :lmao: (Well, maybe Chris & Lesley would get those looks w/those kind of clothes... but, me? :rotfl2: )

Hey! Wait a minute! I re-read your post and your conveniently left out the part about YOU being there .......!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Ladies!!

Was it just me, or did everyone feel like they had been run over by a train and had major jet lag after our trip??:rolleyes1

Whew! :faint: :faint: :faint:
And who else got dumped on GRR?? Shawna and I just about had 2 buckets of water land on us. Megan who was sitting across from us, got quite a laugh. Good thing it was hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I won't even tell you what Shawna's DH said when he saw our picture afterwards. :sad2: :rotfl:

But it sure was fun.

Mary Jo- the VIP tour was also my hightlight. :cloud9: Or did I already mention that? I was so tired when I first posted, I can't remember what I said now. I just know that I'm behind in catching up to everything.

I've also been sewing up a storm for my DD's play, in 2 weeks. Her school is doing Alladin, and I'm one of the main seamstresses. She is the Magic carpet. So far I made 14 harem pants( I need to make more), 6 reversible vests, Jasmine's costume, part of Jasmine's wedding costume, a turbin ( I need to make more). I just bought some more fabric to make Alladin's Prince Ali costume and so on and so on. Next I need to design the genie hair things, arm puffy see through things, scarves, bells on the veils, and the carpet. As you can imagine, my house is a mess. :headache: There are scraps of fabric and thread everywhere, and the list goes on..............but I'm enjoying it all. :goodvibes

BUT tomorrow DH and I are going to the beach. It is his birthday on Monday, and now it is his turn to get away. Fine with me!!! :woohoo: Who am I to complain? :rolleyes1

If you are reading Beth, I would prefer Feb/March, over October/November for the next trip. The reason for me is that I would like to take my family for the first time in the fall to see the decorations, and hopefully do Mickey's Halloween Treat. And I know I couldn't do both in that time frame.

Ok....that is just my preference.

Thanks for listening ladies. :flower3:

Hi Melody! Of course I'm reading. I have no life. ;) :rotfl: I will mark down your preferences. Thanks. BTW, I sure hope I sent you a PM. I always feel like I left someone out when I do those mass PMs like that. :headache:

I have to say, you are a saint for making all those costumes!!!! :worship: :worship: :worship: I cannot even sew on a button. I'm hopeless as a domestic goddess.
Seriously, that's really great of you. I'd love to see some pics if you feel like sharing. I think that's so cute your DD is the magic carpet. :goodvibes

Have fun at the beach!! And say Happy Birthday to your DH from all of us here! ;)
