Front Desk me then, my dear. Pretty Please. (I'm not sure if Jill got one but I'm pretty sure about the rest of us will be making the park goers Teal with envy of our pretty shirts)

Hopefully my muddled brain will remember to drag the girls over to the desk after we finish at the parks Thursday night. Or there will be a jammie run in the morning to get them all. ;)


On another note. There was a job posting for Jr Purchasing Support. (and other duties as assigned) I applied and so did one other girl. She knows the office computer system and coding but I'm a little more mature, have the schooling to let the job expand to a Personal Assistant to the Owner of the company...which is supposedly what he has thought of as the posting has been up.

If I get the job it's a $6500/yr increase from what I am making now and if she gets the job, I can apply for her current job which would also be an increase but I'm not sure how much. Either way, I can be out of the File Clerk position very soon. :woohoo:

I should know on Tuesday, the HR person thinks he'll make the decision on Monday. Posting is open until Monday at 5pm but I don't think anyone else will apply.

I'm trying to stay positive he'll pick me over her but not too excited so that I'll be depressed that he picked her. (and I personally don't think she'd be good for the PA part, nor do I think she'll like it up there. She's too chummy with the guys in the plant. She's a very young 24)

I just got back from my deaf event at a Starbucks in Porter Ranch. It was a lot of fun and I learned that there are deaf events at Disneyland! How exciting! Maybe I'll meet someone while we're there next week.

Capri: are you sure you want to haul the other shirts over to Jazz Kitchen? You can leave mine at the front desk too (if you don't mind). I'll either pick it up on my return Thurs. nite or do the jammie run with the other girls Fri. morning (on second thought, maybe not the jammie run, I might permanently scar someone's psyche!)

I absolutely don't mind taking the shirts to the Jazz Kitchen. They're light and easy to transport. It'll be no problem at all. Compared to all the crap I have to haul around for my kids and hubby at the parks, taking a few t-shirts will be a piece of cake:thumbsup2

Plus, there won't be a lot of hauling involved anyway. Cathy and I will be checking into the HOJO at about 5:30pm, throw our bags in our room, walk over to DL and go through the turnstiles (because we have to use our "5 days for the price of 3 days" tickets by April 24th), walk back out, and then head to the Jazz Kitchen. Minimal hauling involved.:)

I'll leave your shirt at the front desk for you.:thumbsup2

Good Morning ladies! I have been busy all morning cleaning the kids rooms. Finally done! Whew.

Anyways, as you've probably noticed our thread went from almost 300 pages, down to 40-something. Threads aren't supposed to reach more then 250 pages and we were pushing 300, so it had to be split in two.

Mary Jo was nice enough to do that for us and still leave all the info on the first page, as well as a link to the old parts of the thread should you need to reference it for any reason. (thanks!!! :goodvibes )

Also I have asked that this thread be closed once the trip is over so we can start a brand new shiny thread to start work on the Girls Only Disneyland Trip Part 2. :cool1:

And I've also asked that we be allowed to continue our planning here on the DL board as opposed to being moved to the DIS Meets board. I'm just afraid we'll get lost over there. But the jury is still out on that request, so we'll see.

Anyway, just keeping you all informed.

Totally off topic but I could use some help girls!

My niece found a pair of shoes she wants/needs for Grad or Prom or something.

She found them on some girls Blog in the US. So looking up here isn't getting her anywhere. All she remembers is the girl saying she got them on sale. I think they say they are "Cleo"

If anyone could look around while they are doing some last minute stuff before the trip, I'd be eternally grateful. She'd be a size 8 (8.5 but not likely to get that)

(let's not talk about the stink I raised the last time I stayed at a hotel and wanted to open the balcony door and couldn't figure out how to disengage the lock . . . . after an hour and a half of calling the front desk the maintenance guy shows up . . . . and TURNS the lock . . . . uhhhh, duhhhhhhhhh????????? you mean it wasn't push up, push down, push to the left, push to the right--it was just turn the darn thing?)

can you just link to the photo of the shoes? :cloud9:

I went to North Hollywood, to Deaf West Theater, and from there my friend and I went to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. When we got out from the restaurant there on my windshield, complimentary of The County of Los Angeles, a ticket. Because supposedly my rear right tire was more than 18 inches from the curb:mad:

I'm going to contest it hopefully the judge will be nice and not make me pay the $40 fine, I'm already breaking the bank for this trip.
