Hi Bridget! :) Yeah, I guess I'll keep him. ;)
And I would love to go to WDW in December!! Maybe we'll win the lotto, or I'll drop a couple quarters into the slots and win a couple thousand. If I do, drinks will be on me. :thumbsup2

Which one? :rotfl: I have 3 girls, ages 7, 7, and 11. And my son is 13.

Now you know I am always ready to plan!! ;) Although we were thinking sometime when it's cooler. Like January for example! :lmao: And this time, you must come. I thought about you when I was there and wished you'd been able to make it as well.

My DD has been talking about all the fun things that N, sent her. She has a thank you card but I tossed the box, so I lost your addy. My DD is 5 3/4.

Aw, that's so sweet. I'll send PM you the address if she'd like to send the card. 5 is such a great age. :)

Hi everyone!
I got home from the DIS meet Friday night and I have worked all of Saturday and today.

I don't know if I'll begin my TR very soon because I'm bombarded with work and school.

I loved meeting all the ladies and rode everything that I wanted at least once! The crowds were not horrendous and I even made rope drop on Friday morning (my first time ever)!

If anyone who is on the meet gets this, can you please give me Steph's (21yankees) cell number. I can't find my sheet!

Girls--this is off-topic, but I need HELP! I have to make my ADRs for my November WDW trip in just a few short days and I am totally bamboozled by all the choices. Some of you (Shelley for sure, and I think Mary Jo) gave me a couple of suggestions and likes/dislikes, but I need to get down to brass tacks.

Here is my thought--I am going to initially plan table service meals for lunch and dinner in two different places/parks/resorts . . . . once Disney posts EMH schedules etc and I have better idea of which park we will be in on what day then I can choose the table service meal that works for either lunch or dinner (any other meals will either be in our DVC accommodation or counter service. Or maybe I'll just eat junk food). Anyway, I think one table service meal a day is enough for us--just don't know whether to choose lunch or dinner at this time, so I'll make one for both.

the ones I've heard good things about are Le Cellier, Whispering Canyon (yes, I "know"), Kona. I would like to try a "fine dining" experience maybe at the Yachtsman Steakhouse (is it still there?) or Narcoossee's. I've heard Boma breakfast is great, and I also got a vote for Jiko. Prime Time Cafe and Sci Fi were also recommended.

I was also told to avoid CRT unless you REALLY want to eat in the castle.

It's just so overwhelming . . . but I'm sure you all hear that a lot!

So . . . other suggestions and must do's? My Mom will be celebrating her 78th birthday while we are there so someplace special for that day/night would be great. Because she is with me I would like to avoid buffets because she will be unable to get up and get her own food and it is akward because we end up not eating together. But if there is something really great (like Boma) we might try it. I also wouldn't mind a character meal (that wasn't buffet preferred).

Thanks Everyone!

I know you go through this drill often . . . .

I'm home. I'm sweaty and stinky and pooped, but I had a GREAT time! It was so much fun with all the ladies. I feel kinda like a kid leaving camp, though. Happy to get home, but didn't want to leave and didn't want to miss their friends.

I'll post more later, for sure. I got lots of pics to download onto the shutterfly account. Less than I had hoped on photopass pics.

I purchased 15 of those pooh bear and mickey head lollipops and used the rest of the lime green posterboard left over from the mickey heads and wrote a thank you note to the Hojo's staff for making us so welcome.

Hi Cheryl
It was so fun to see you on the trip.
A few of our favorites are #1 Ohana....soooo good and a fun place.
Sci Fi is so different and fun with good burgers & shakes
Prime Time is a hoot and the food was good.
We liked Whisper Canyon, but I can't remember what I ate there.
Epcot is always fun to eat your way thru...so many yummy things.
Liberty Tree in MK had great sandwiches for lunch, as well as a very filling buffet for dinner.

I'm sure Chris will pipe in....she has great ideas too and is a big Jiko & Boma lover!

Hopefully others will chime in too...there are just WAY too many to choose from.

So I just caught up on the posts and all I have to say is

I MISSED BETH?!?!?!

AWWW MAN! :sad1:
I know! I wanted to meet you too. There were a couple I missed. But ya'll will just have to make sure to be there next time. ;)

Those are all the ones I was going to suggest. Prime Time, Sci Fi, Le Cellier, Kona, and Boma seem to be the most popular ones that pop up the most often.

Hey! Welcome back!! I can't wait to see the pics. :yay: And that was so nice of you to make a thank you for the HoJo staff. I'm sure they liked that. :goodvibes

Oh yes, OHana was another popular one. And I agree when it comes to dining in WDW, the choices are huge! When we went I felt like I spent way too much time obsessing over where to eat but I kept changing my mind!! :rotfl:

Yes, Michelle--thanks for doing that--it was very nice of you to do so (she says while kicking herself "why didn't I do something like that? aaarrggghhhh) And thank you for the fun "surprise" of the lime green Mickey heads on our doors--it made things extra special to come back to your room late at night and see that!

I am home, too. And sweaty and pooped, too.

I am so sorry I did not make the Carnation Cafe lunch. I kind of melted down from the heat around 2 pm and had to be in an air conditoned environment. It just got so hot! Anyway, I will post more later but wanted to just check in and say what an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS time I had!!! And Kelly, you did an awesome summation of our VIP tour with JD, he was awesome, wasn't he?

I feel like I have many new friends:grouphug:

Just got home!!! Thanks for the great time ladies! Was wonderful meeting you all!

Enjoy your day tomorrow :)

Hi Ladies!!!

I'm still at HoJo's, I leave in the morning. I just wanted to say that I had a wonderful time and that I can't wait until next year. I'm considering a trip report but I'm not sure if it'll be interesting or not. The highlights of my trip were meeting you all (of course...especially Beth surprising us all in CA), meeting Guy Fieri at the Food & Wine Festival (his food is 'off the hook...' as he says) and going on my first roller coaster, that goes upside down (thanks to my roomie Kate's(a wonderful new friend) encouragement).

Cristabel I have your address and will be putting the item in the mail on Monday. Also Seattlebusymom (I'm sorry I don't remember your first name  ) please PM me your address so I can get that lanyard and asstd items to your daughters. I'm glad you all had such a nice time. Lesley I'm going to see if I can find your address from the VIP tour thing I have your stand in Beth doll and I'd like to get it back to you. I'll let you know if I no longer have the address and am in need of it again.

Have a nice evening ladies. Talk to you later.

Hi Steph. Have a safe trip back home. I'm so happy to have met you!

And I am so glad that you got to meet Guy. That's part of what I wanted this whole trip to be about. Taking time to do something just for you. kwim? Not for the kids, or the in-laws, or the husbands, or anyone but yourself. All those things you want to do and can't or don't. I'm glad you were able to do that. :)

And if you do decide to write a TR, I for one will definitely be reading it!! :thumbsup2

Okay, first off let me sat that there will be no more "Drive By Posts"! :rotfl:

That was so cool! Michelle (Zoemakes5) made those and then the hotel staff put them up on the doors.

Thank you Michelle, and HoJo!!! :)

So nice to meet you and your mom. :goodvibes

It was good to meet you too! This whole trip was AWESOME!

:rotfl2: Hankies? I don't know about that. LOL But it was a surprise!

But I am so happy I got to go, and surprise everyone. And get surprised myself!! :rotfl:

Aww, how sweet!

OMG!!!!!! I just now saw my new tag!!!!!!! :yay:

I LOVE IT!!!!! Awww, thank you tag fairy! ;) No matter what new tags might come along, that will always be my favorite one. :goodvibes

Yay for the new tag!

It was nice meeting you and Katie at lunch yesterday.

Hi ladies!

Well, back to the "real" world.

We need to get our new thread for the next trip going so we all have something to look forward to!

Mary Jo: #9 is Ellen (don't know her screenname--).

#24 is Stacielee's daughter (and I don't remember her name--but I am seeing Stacie at 3 p.m. so will ask)

#28 I believe is Capri's friend Cathy.

So good to meet you . .. . I really enjoyed our chats. And your daughter is so sweet (although how she walks around Disneyland in those high heels I'll never be able to figure out! LOL)

#24 is CHRISTINE (Stacielee's daughter)

Beth, congrats on the new tag..I love it!
That is so neat that you were able to make it down for a few days! Your DH is awesome to take you!!:cloud9:

Is there going to be one big TR where everybody posts about the trip or are they going to be separate?

I am looking forward to hearing all about the meet!

Okay, first off let me sat that there will be no more "Drive By Posts"! :rotfl:
:lmao: Well, that's good! We didn't want to have to keep calling you "drive-by girl". :rolleyes1 That'd be funny if you got stuck with that as a tag! :rotfl2:

Ugh, yep back to the real world, school, work, laundry, errands, etc.

I definitely want to get a new thread going. I was kind of waiting for everyone to check in here first and chat a little about this trip, then I thought we could start a new one and maybe we'll get some fun new ladies to join us!
The more the merrier!! :dance3:

Beth, congrats on the new tag..I love it!

Thanks! I sure as heck like this new one better then the grilled cheese! :lmao:

From the few I talked to about the TRs they said they were planning to do their own. I was thinking as each person makes a TR, I would add a link to it in the front post so all the TRs would be easily accessible in one place.

I know I'd love to read several reports so I can hear how each person's trip was different and what stood out for them. :yay:

So get writing ladies!! ;)
