Disneyland Girls Only Trip thread

What am I doing on my day off ... studying.

Califgirl (Chris), Mary Jo, Kelly (Mary Jo's DD) and I will be making our 4th appearance at MouseAdventure as a team this Sunday. We are attempting to better our Top 10 finish. So here I am cramming for our exam. Please send some positive energy to the DIS Divas.

Beauties and Their Beast will be there too!!!!!! Look for me on an ECV. I will be with my best friend Brandy, her BF Patrick and his daughter Lexi. (MY BF just doesn't get it.)

I am going Fri. night and will be cramming Fri. nite and Saturday on my own. Patrick has been going to the park every night to "study" too! LOL (he is apparently VERY competitive). This is our first attempt and we are in the regular Family division. I am excited that I might get to meet some of my DisBoard buddies on Sunday too!

So . . . . . how does one "study" at home for this?

Hi Kelly! Where are you located? My daughter goes to Biola and definitely GETS IT!! I'm trying to get her to join us but transportation is a problem, since I'm flying and not driving like I usually do. If she wants to come, is there anyone who will be driving who could pick her up on Friday? She would have to be back to school by Sunday night.

One more thing, does anyone need a room that doesn't have one? I still have one reserved in my name, but since I'm rooming with Ruth, I don't need it anymore. I know someone had said when they called to reserve a room, there weren't any left at our low price. PM me if you need this room, otherwise I'll call this week and cancel it.

Hi to everyone! I know I haven't been around much, but I am SO excited for the all of the fun things we have planned and to get to know all of you! It's so rare that I get out without my 4 yr old daughter, so I'm REALLY looking forward to some adult time at Disney!

Okay so I have no idea what I should pack for the trip....It's so weird when we're all traveling I have a huge list of things that we have to have (you know for 3 kids), and this time I am lost as to what I should bring.

Also those of us traveling from the Antelope Valley by train on Thursday. I'm taking the 214 train from Lancaster to Union Station. Then I'm catching the 684 from Union Station to Anaheim. So besides getting to meet each other, I'm thinking we may want to share a cab or 2 (can't remember how many of us there are) to get to the hotel. The yellowcab there has minivans so we may all be able to fit into one of those. So what do you guys think?

Well, our list is dwindling. Sadly though, I knew it would. Things happen. You gain some new ones and lose some of the original ones. What can you do. Well, except keep planning a new trip each year so there is always a next time!!

But in the mean time, I thought I'd post this list and I put ?? marks next to those I personally haven't heard from in awhile and I'm not sure if they are coming.

If anyone has any knowledge of who's still coming and who isn't, let me know.

Maybe what I will do is go ahead and make ADRs for all meals and then as time approaches call back and cancel some (especially when we start pinning down which parks we are going to when and which dining plan we are doing). I also would like to spend a day just exploring the various resorts (to get an idea of where to try to stay next time!) which would be a good time to try out resort restaurants (like Narcoosee's (did I spell that right?)) I also need to check the calendar and see if they have scheduled EMHs etc.--although I have heard conflicting things about whether to go on EMH days to a park or not. (I think EMH at Animal Kingdom would be really fun though.)

You must do Ohana! Its wonderful food and a great atmospher!


Now if I could just stop worrying about snakes . . . .silly I know . . . but I saw a picture on another site where there was this GIANT snake at POFQ and it totally freaked me out (I hate snakes) so now I'm worried that I'm going to be encountering snakes at SSR and all of the parks! I agree, Ohana is great!!! (although I didn't like the sausage, so I'm glad they got rid of that.) We had a few tropical cocktails too, to go along with our dinner. Then while we sat there next to the windows with a perfect view of the castle, eating the AWESOME desert and enjoying our after-dinner coffee nudges, the fireworks started. It was really perfect, and I actually teared up (as I ALWAYS do doing those darn fireworks).

It's easy. You know how to quote right. Well, right next to the regular quote button is another one in the middle. It has these things on it " and a plus sign.

Find the posts you want to quote and click on that button in each post. It will highlight in a red color. Once you've picked all the ones you want to respond to, you just hit Post Reply at the bottom of the page like always.

Then all those posts you highlighted will show up and you can respond to each one.

Also if you want to get really fancy, you can highlight on a post of someone's on another thread. Then go to another thread, like this one for example, and hit post reply and it will show up there.

I'm leaving on Thursday late morning and I'm heading back on Monday morning. I appreciate the offer about carpooling. I'm looking forward to the train ride though.
