I can't wait to ride the Matterhorn. I can remember being a kid and having my friends tell me about it (the lucky ones who got to go to DL). The fact that it was around when Walt was, and it's STILL there - well, that's pretty cool. And once I'm sitting in it, I'll probably have to pinch myself to make sure I'm really there.;)

If you're going for the first time, what are you looking forward to experiencing?

Well this is my second time... however when i went 2 years ago for the first... the matterhorn was not operating.

So i guess i would have to say that i too am looking forard to that.
I also cant wait to eat at the Bayou!

Great Question!

There are a few rides/attractions, like the Mattahorn & Aladdin show, that Im looking forward to, but overall I thnk Im just curious to see what its like to be at the original. Ill probably compare everything to WDW. Im really excited to just check it all out, almost like a second version of a place I love. Ok, I know its the first version, but to me its the second. ;)

I feel the same way. I keep telling myself not to compare it to WDW, but I know I will.

I've spent the last week doing major research on DL. I feel so lost and excited at the same time. I don't know how I'm going to make it to July. :hyper:

Make sure to try both sides of the matterhorn, they are quite different. I also think you will love Alice.

I am very excited about riding the Matterhorn and all the dark rides WDW doesn't have. I also miss Toad so much that it will be good to see him again!

I think for me, it is just being at the place that Walt built and took so much pride in! I was just thinking about this the other day. DL is the first park and the one Walt had his hands on every inch of and I know when I first step foot in there, I am going to feel that!

I'm looking foward to going to California as a whole. The farthest west I have been is Ohio :( :( :( (from NJ). I am excited to experience everything at Disneyland and hopefully it will have the charm and intamacy that WDW lacks in certain aspects. I can't wait for the Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Pirates, Haunted Mansion......wait EVERYTHING lol.

Summer 2005 come FAST!

In January, I'll actually have my second trip to DL - but this one is "adults only" just me and another friend. I'm really looking forward to doing the Walking In Walt's Footsteps tour and eating at the Blue Bayou!

I totally understand. The farthest West I've been is Ohio too. Not that Ohio is a bad place, it's really nice - but I'd like to get beyond it someday - and I AM!!!:bounce:

Alas, Space won't be open during my visit, unless some miracle happens. But I suppose that would give me reason to return...;)

I have been to DL too many times to count but wanted to read this thread to get excited about it all over again! Many of you may already know this, but Walt had his own apartment over the fire station (see link below) and would watch the crowds from his window. So don't forget to take a peek at the window...who know's, maybe he's still watching!

Love this question....I'm soooooo excited to visit DL next year (it's a LONG way off) :( . But here is what I'm most excited about...

Matterhorn :teeth: . I've heard so much about this ride for so many years, I just can't wait to experience it!!!

Aladdin Show. Again, the reviews of this show are outstanding.

Mr. Toad. I can't wait to ride this again. I miss this ride at WDW!!!

In general...just to walk through the historic Disneyland....and experience everything that makes it unique.

Yippppeeeeee!!!! :sunny:
