Disneyland Express...tell me everything...

None of the Disneyland Resort Express shuttles have the Disney wrap anymore. If you look on trip advisor in the travel forum, there is discussion about it and why they are doing that now, but they will not have the Disney wrap, so best to prepare your kids for that if they are expecting that.

Can anyone who has used them very recently confirm this?

Aw, man really??? :( What a bummer! Thanks for pointing it out.

I asked on Trip Advisor if any of the busses still had disney wrap on them and I got this from one of Anaheim's destination experts:

None of the LAX bound buses have the wrap due to the rules stated by the folks that run LAX. They are basically large white buses with a sign in the front window near the driver that would state Disneyland Resort Express. Of course, there is also the dispatcher in the area, and you can ask the drive to verify you are on the right bus.

... The biggest reason being we won't have to bring booster and car seats for 3 kids again and it will be a heck of a lot cheaper than renting a car.

Is this true? I’ve heard mixed stories. Some say you need a car seat, and some don’t. Everyone keeps pointing me to the new CA law which doesn’t list any exclusions (i.e. for charter busses, public transportation, or hired vehicles). So why is there a beliefe that a car seat isn’t needed for the Disneyland Express?

I literally just booked a family on the Disneland Resort Express (they are my cousins and traveling with me to LAX). We both have little ones (hers is very little) so I double checked with my tour operator (Holiday House) and then I called DRE directly at the 1-800 and they assured me that no car seats are required. They wouldn't even be able to bolt them anyway.

I think it is the LAX busses that are no longer allowed to use the Disney wrap, but I will ask the destination people in the Anaheim forum in Trip Advisor to see what they say:)

LAX doesn't allow the disney wrapped busses, but SNA still does and the Disneyland Resort Express doesn't go to Long Beach. I hope that helps clear that up for the ones that really want a Disney bus:)

Thanks for stating this clearly. It is what I was trying to say but I didn't do it very well!

We are probably going to use this as our mode of transportation from LAX in November for several reasons. The biggest reason being we won't have to bring booster and car seats for 3 kids again and it will be a heck of a lot cheaper than renting a car. We have to fly into LAX because the tickets are much cheaper and there aren't any non-stop/no plane change flights into SNA.

So tell me...when is the best time to get the tickets for it? 2 weeks in advance? Are they refundable if someone gets sick?
I wouldn't prepay just incase something does happen.

Where do they pick you up at the airport? Where will we be dropped off if we are staying at Desert Inn and Suites?

My biggest concern is getting BACK to the airport. Do they pick us up at the same place they dropped us off at the hotel? Do I need to call them to make sure that they'll be there the Friday we fly out?

Here is a link for the coupon. http://anaheimoc.org/content/disney...rt-transportation-aboard-disneyland-resort-ex

At the airport it is marked very clear. You go outside and stand under a green sign and the buses will pull up there. After you are picked up they take you to thier main site at Disneyland Resort Hotel. Someone from the company will get on your bus and take your coupon/money or tickets if you decided to prepay. The then will run everyone around to thier hotels or stop close by your hotel.

You can call ahead of time to schedule your pick up time. You tell them what time your plane is leaving and they will tell you when they will pick you up.

As some have mentioned there are some companys that will try to get you to ride with them from the airport. Some of their names are very very similar. We just told everyone that stopped that we had already prepaid (we didn't just didn't want to be bothered) and they drove off to the next stop with people.[/
