Hi everybody,

Great news! Disneyland entertainment is coming back in Spring 2022. WHEE! Here's the proof: https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...g-celebrate-gospel-and-tale-of-the-lion-king/ I disappointed that Magic Happens Parade is not mentioned. Also, I'm not a fan of using Tale of the Lion King being performed at Fantasyland Theatre. I was hoping they make a new show similar to Mickey and the Magical Map, but a stage show is a stage show, so it's better than nothing. Nonetheless, great news!

Covid must be less of a thing in CA since they seem to be so far ahead of WDW on bringing stuff back.

Happy that Fantasyland Theater is getting some use -- I swear I could hear drilling/construction work there this past week, but I'm not certain (could have been echoes from the train or some other construction). More people-eating attractions = better for the rest of the park.

Surprised MSEP isn't dropping in January.

Coupled with the nighttime events that were just announced, feels like the parks are just coming back to 2019 normal.

I wonder if the still-depressed international travel has to do with that -- like, adding more stuff to WDW wouldn't make sense because people still can't come in (easily) to see it vs. DLR's somewhat captive regional audience (18 million people in the 5 county LA metro).

Given how fast they shut travel from South Africa, perhaps Disney is a little shy on adding back.

Just some random speculation from me.

Oh, how I will miss Mickey and the Magical Map - it was one of my favorites!
I know! Like I said, I hope they have a new show that's similar to Mickey and the Magical Map in development.

I find it difficult to believe that WDW is having trouble reaching capacity.....

No return of Frozen… interesting, though not unexpected since it’s fully inside. I hope it doesn’t go away for a future marvel attraction or something, I LOVED how professional and full on Broadway Frozen (and Aladdin before it) was!

YEah, I'll take a new show too, but only if it is up to the same standards as Aladdin and Frozen were, and not Marvel please - keep it a classic Disney musical.
Oh I 100% want another proper stage show. In wasn’t implying that it would/should be replaced with a different show… I’m just really hoping they don’t destroy the building and use that space to build another attraction since Avengers campus is… weak right now…

Oh yeah - that would be even worse. It's a great theater. I think they have room for an Avengers ride anyway as it was planned to be in the Avengers building there, but was put on hold.

OHHHH! I thought it was very odd to have such a large building that didn’t seem to be doing much. It’s a great look and they do have a little character experience there, but I was surprised they dedicated that much space to just building atmosphere. Would make a lot more sense if they plan another attraction there (or there + any back stage room from that point) sometime in the future…

I'm glad they're bringing back some entertainment, but can't say I'm too excited about what's coming. It's ok, but not what I was hoping to see.

Exciting! I wish there were firm dates for each of these things. Does "spring" likely mean sometime between March and June? We are planning a trip for January and this makes me ponder delaying since I've never seen World of Color or the Main Street Electrical Parade... And my kid has never experienced Fantasmic.

There was definitely something going on there last week. I saw construction-y looking things from the train. It was one of those lifting platform thingies that a constructioner would use to get up high, but more room than those cherry-picker things that the phone company uses/used. Clearly obvious by my terminology, I'm not in the field of building things, ha! At any rate it looked less "Mickey and the Magical Map" from my quick peek.

Likely; I wouldn't be surprised if it was like late April or mid May though. Just a wild guess, but Disney usually drags their feet on stuff like this.

I don’t know….I would really dig seeing “Rogers: The Musical” in there:)

Oh, man, I really didn't think that was very good. Obviously it was intended to be funny, but something with those production values wouldn't cut it on Broadway today!
