Traveling with family to Disneyland in September, Sunday 9/14 to Thursday 9/18. I will be a first time user of a scooter, (I've finally admitted that I need the scooter). I've been doing research and am worried about getting a scooter from the park. We won't be there at rope drop, so it will be later in the day that I'll be arriving. I know we can't make reservations, but since it is kind of off season, will I have a problem getting a scooter. I can walk some distance, but can't stand very long. Would I be better off renting from an outside vendor, so I am sure I have a scooter?

Part 2 has to do with using Lyft/Uber, we will be without a car and are staying in dowtown Anaheim. Does anyone know if I'll have problems reserving a ride?

I don't have experience in Anaheim but in other major cities I have had varying success getting an uber that can handle a scooter. If you can make do with one of the transportable folding ones you have better odds. If you need something like a go go sport that doesn't fold it will be more difficult. I would take a look at what is available, the weight limits and ranges, and decide what you may need. Personally, when we need to transport a scooter ourselves we rent an SUV. We have found Uber to be too unreliable. I would also suggest reserving Uber in advance if you are going that route.
