Traveling with family to Disneyland in September, Sunday 9/14 to Thursday 9/18. I will be a first time user of a scooter, (I've finally admitted that I need the scooter). I've been doing research and am worried about getting a scooter from the park. We won't be there at rope drop, so it will be later in the day that I'll be arriving. I know we can't make reservations, but since it is kind of off season, will I have a problem getting a scooter. I can walk some distance, but can't stand very long. Would I be better off renting from an outside vendor, so I am sure I have a scooter?

Part 2 has to do with using Lyft/Uber, we will be without a car and are staying in dowtown Anaheim. Does anyone know if I'll have problems reserving a ride?

I don't have experience in Anaheim but in other major cities I have had varying success getting an uber that can handle a scooter. If you can make do with one of the transportable folding ones you have better odds. If you need something like a go go sport that doesn't fold it will be more difficult. I would take a look at what is available, the weight limits and ranges, and decide what you may need. Personally, when we need to transport a scooter ourselves we rent an SUV. We have found Uber to be too unreliable. I would also suggest reserving Uber in advance if you are going that route.

Uber and Lyft do have wheelchair accessible options; however, they can take some time, a traditional Taxi is a similar cost and will provide you the total when you call to book and then you have a flat rate. Additionally, Orange COunty has a really good public transit system that works well.

As for renting from an Outside vendor, you likely would be better off. The biggest question is where you will be staying, there are hotels right by Disneyland, if staying in one of those, you won't likely need an Uber or Lyft unless you are going further. For outside vendors, there is Gold Mobility in Anaheim now.

Another good option is Select Mobility, they are located at a hotel directly across the street from Disneyland and I don't know if it is still the case or not, but they used to allow you to keep their scooters there when not in use, so in your situation that may be a viable alternative and then you wouldn't need an accessible ride at all.
