Disneyland Divas: Working out, getting healthy and thin in 2010!!

Cristabel and Carol, I know those extra pounds will come off easily! I usually gain 4-5 pounds in Disneyland then within a week or two I lose all of it except for 1 lingering pound.

I was so happy to get back to my regularly scheduled workout today! I'm also excited to be surrounded by healthy fruits and vegetables that aren't super expensive and have plenty of good tasting water readily available. :worship:

Hopefully everyone is having a happy and healthy day! :goodvibes

I think I ate everything in the park! I haven't had the guts to step on the scale yet but I might try it tomorrow. I had a very good on plan day and dh made a great new recipe for dinner.

Talk to you soon!

Wendy - great job!

Before you eat, drink 1 -2 glasses of water. That should help curb your hunger at those buffets!

I'm sad you won't be coming this weekend :guilty:

Thanks Cristabel! I thought about you gals a ton when I was there. Really missed you all.

Hi Tracey! Have fun in Vegas, baby!
I say enjoy your trip and get right back on the program as soon as you get home.

So I weighed myself this morning, and I am at a 19-pound loss. My normal weigh-in day is Friday, but I will do it tomorrow. Wish me luck that I have lost 1 more pound today. I'd love to be at 20 when I leave for out trip!

Hey Tina! I have to say, that 19 pounds showed in the pictures too! You looked great!

My report, I did okay. Drank lots of water, only hit one buffet, and did not overindulge too badly! Had side dishes for my meals instead of big dinners. It was my EHDI conferance that really did me in with the snack breaks twice a day and delicous brownies etc. I was so tired by then that I would try anything to stay awake for the day. Anyhoo, not too bad, up 2 pounds, which I know I will lose quickly.

I just returned yesterday, so am still dragging, but hope to get back on excercise routine in next day or two.

Have a great day. Jen, hope you are feeling better.

I didn't gain any weight at Disneyland!

I'm so happy to be back home where it's easier to make good food decisions. :thumbsup2
Awesome!

Thanks Tracey. I can really see it in my face, and I feel it in my jeans. These new pairs I just bought are slowly getting loose, which is a great feeling!

So even though I shared almost all of my meals while in Disneyland, I gained 4 pounds!!!! Now I did have a few cocktails, and I was eating candy in bed a couple of nights, but geeze! I didn't have any ice cream, fudge, churros, etc. I really thought I was being careful.
But my rant is over, because I weighed in this morning, and I lost all of that weight plus 1 pound, so I am at a 21 pound loss!!!! I am now at 183, which is the lowest I've been in probably 10 or so years. I'm feeling really motivated, and I can see the 170s in my future.
Oh, and I'm briskly walking in a 5K on Sunday with some friends. Wish me luck!

Tina, that is awesome! Have fun at the 5k on Sunday. I need to start looking into ones around my area. :thumbsup2

Also, my dad saw the picture of your butt I took at the Billy show and he thought it was mine. I was so flattered, but I hope you're not offended!

Wendy - great job!

Hopefully the frozen lemonade AND sundae don't do you in!! I know they did for me, about 2 pounds up, but that should be gone by the time I officially weig in on Monday.

Need to drink more water though, not doing very good in that respect...

Tattletale! Well, I finally stepped on the scale yesterday and was up 5 lbs but was down a lb this morning so only 4 more to lose by my official weigh in on tuesday! It is feeling soooooo good to be back on track. I have done pretty well even with eating out the past two nights. I only had half of my sandwich tonight and last night I tried a vegetarian option.

So proud of you all! You are doing an amazing job...don't forget to drink that water!

I have yet to weigh myself. My official WI is on Mondays and I had gained 4.4 lbs after our trip. I've been doing okay but I'm trying to get used to eating smaller meals and drinking more water. It's been tough. I've used the most allowance points this week than before but thankfully it's been on low fat turkey dogs

Good to see you're back on track. Today my eating has been very sporadic. I woke up late and had a late brunch, ate dinner and had a LOT of fat free fro yo but I still have 9pts left! I think I'll have a yam and some kind of protein, maybe cold cuts. I do need to chug a lug some more water. I've had about 4 c. today, not nearly enough!

Last week wasn't so good with exercise. I was pretty much out of it for three days and then weak for another few. One day of weights and then running (a little) today. Forecast says we may get some sunny skies (with freezing temps) this week, so maybe I can get in another run or so. Or maybe just more gym time.

Good luck everyone with your vacation recovery!

I don't like to be negatively surprised at WI so I decided to hop on my parent's digital scale tonight.

How accurate are digital scales?
It asks me to enter my height, age, gender and then fitness level (normal or athletic).

I step on and wait for the beep....

It says I'm at 259.5
I don't want to get myself too excited but that it's freaking awesome :dance3:

Than I would have I lost 6.3 lbs between last Tuesday and today, meaning I lost the 4.4 lbs I gained during our trip and almost two extra!

I do hope for a good number because I'm back on program even though I've eaten more of my weekly allowance points than usual. I normally try to stay away from my allowance points and don't eat my activity points unless I'm truly starving.

Here's to a healthy, productive, and minimally stressful week.

Cheers

Okay so I didn't lose that much weight, 4lbs which isn't even the entire amount I gained during our trip. I need to lose 4.4 to be back to pretrip weight. I'm sure I did lose that .4 of a lb but I was silly and forgot to not chug water before my WI. :headache:

I want to be -10 already, this is taking me too long!

You'll get there Cristabel...it's just been hard with you being ill and the Trip and all. Keep at it and you'll be there before you know it! My weigh in is tomorrow. I think I have lost everything from the trip but we will see! HOpe you all are doing well and staying on your plan, whatever it may be!

Take care and drink your water!

SarahMay

Lost .8 at my meeting today so I am really pleased. That means I lost all the weight from the trip plus almost another full pound! HOpe you all are doing well!

SarahMay

Good job on the losses, Sarah and Christabel! Keep up the good work!!!

As of this morning's offical weigh-in, forty pounds are gone!! Three more pounds to go before 3/25 to make my second mini goal, I know I can do it!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Wow! 40 POUNDS is awesome! :cool1::cool1:Way to go!

After Vegas and then convention I was up a few, but lost that quickly and then was up again and then old aunty flo came along and now I am back down. Pretty much stayed on plan, so hope to keep going down. I am at 197 but want the to be in the 180's desperately. One month should see me there. So, let's see. April 12th, I will be 189 or less. YOU ALL HEARD THAT RIGHT!

Jen, I hope you are feeling better! It has been cold here too and I can barely get myself motivated to get out of bed. Of course it could be my nice heated mattress pad that is keeping me longing for my bed!

Good Luck everyone and have a great weekend.

Consider that quick recovery from DL and good job getting right back on track!

Good luck on getting to the 180s! I know you can do it! :woohoo:

As for me, exercised five out of the last six days with two strength work outs and even one outside running session. My cardio did not go well this week. Didn't make it more than 40 minutes cardio on any session and some only 20 or 30 minutes. That week off being sick got me off track physically and motivationally I guess. But at least I showed up at the gym almost everyday, which is a good thing.

Eating...well that wasn't great. I mean I did eat and I ate some great things, but let's just say intelligent food choices weren't always made.

Time to pack now for a ski trip. Can I just say that I really have no desire to go on a ski trip, it's just that we rented skis for the kids for the entire season and only used them once and we are in Switzerland for goodness sake. I am just SO over this cold and snowy weather. But hopefully, this my attitude will change once we get to the slopes. If not, some gluhwine (mulled wine) might help.

And for the QUOTE OF THE DAY

If I cannot forgive myself
For all the blunders
That I have made
Over the years,
Then how can I proceed?
How can I ever
Dream perfection-dreams?
Move, I must, forward.
Fly, I must, upward.
Dive, I must, inward,
To be once more
What I truly am
And shall forever remain.

Wow! Where is everybody? I was down almost 4 pounds today, since last Monday. I didn't do any exercise Saturday or Sunday, and if I had, I probably would have hit the 4 pound mark. Oh well, it doesn't help that Aunt Flo is visiting. Maybe that means next Monday will be even better!!

Hey everyone!
This is the first time I've been down two weeks in a row! I only lost 0.4lbs but that's better than a gain. I really thought I was going to gain since we had Anais' party with carnitas, refried beans, quesadillas, ice cream, cake, etc. I'm not sick anymore so I'm ready to go back to the gym again.

I'm only 1.8lbs from -10lbs!:thumbsup2
