Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Anyways...just wanted to let you all know I HAVE NOT fallen off the wagon.:rotfl:
Good for you!!

On the other hand, I have fallen and hard. I haven't been posting and I really am not looking for any.......ummmmm, what's the word. I'm not trying to make it seem like a sob story, is I guess what I'm trying to say.

For some reason, I'm just not feeling it right now. :confused3 I'm trying not to gain too much but it's been hard. I guess I just need to keep trying and hope that motivation strikes me again.

In the meantime, if I don't post, please don't take it personal and know that I am still rooting for you all!!! :cheer2:

Hi all! I have been working really hard at sticking to my plan. I have lost 10 pounds since the trip. I am not stopping either. I feel more determined than ever. I have been working out and I have stuck to eating more fruits and veggies and less bread and processed food. So....here I am. I am not really counting points anymore.

CONGRATULATIONS January!!! 10 pounds is AWESOME!!
:yay::yay::yay:

Beth...Beth...Beth... :sad2::sad2::sad2:
Hoping motivations strikes you?
You have got to GET MOTIVATED, not wait for motivation to get you.

When you are motivated, you do SO well. No need to lose a few months again and just let yourself get off track. (think back to last fall/winter...) I'm gonna sign you up for the DL 5k, so you can keep something to focus on!!!
Remember your goal! Write it down! Put it on the wall! Don't stop now!
Amy--can you go over to Beth's and talk some sense into her?

As for me, well I'm back from Vegas. I did a ton of walking and standing at that conference and really didn't eat all that bad. I haven't stepped on the scale, but will tomorrow to see what's what. I did not, however, get to the gym but once. I am going today. I feel very very tired and out of shape, but I will try to get back into the swing of things. To be honest, I can't imagine running right now and it's been since the 1/2 marathon that I have run more than 3 miles.

Wendy Lady: where are you??? how are the walks going?
And what ever happened to Capri? Capri?

QUOTE OF THE DAY

Good afternoon all!

I only walked once this week and that was on Sunday. The past few days I've either been WAY too tired, too sick or too busy keeping my niece entertained (I've watched Alice in Wonderland 5x since Monday :scared1:). My allergies have been horrible, especially the past couple of days, so I haven't wanted to walk outside. I'm hoping to be back on track next week. :yay:

Sounds like I'll be doing lots of walking in San Francisco this weekend! :thumbsup2

I meant to say:

Congratulations to all those that have lost since our trip!!!!

Seeing my fat, round face in pictures has really motivated me.

I ended up walking three miles tonight, but about 2.5 miles into it, I stopped for pizza, greek fries and beer. :rolleyes1

I'd have skipped the fries.

Two steps forward, three steps backward. Heck, it's better than five steps backwards.

Good job on the walking. I recommend food journaling. Maybe you could just work on exercising and writing down what you eat for a few days. When you see what you're eating, there might be some easy stuff you can cut out that would make a big difference and you could see where/when your danger zones are.

I'm trying to stop eating after 7:30pm or a couple hours before bedtime. I think my buddy Oprah said that helps with weight loss. I'll give it a try.

Ok, time for bed. Nite everyone. :upsidedow

So no weight loss for me this week. Same weight, still trying to get off those pounds gained on that darned cruise. I thought I might be down, since it didn't seem like I ate much in Vegas while at the conference. Oh well.

Here's to next week!

I split the fries, does that count? It was a small order too. They were sinfully delicious. I also turned down the offer of thin mints. See, I'm doing good! :rotfl:

I overslept and am sick so I didn't weigh in today.

Good job on maintaining, Jen. :goodvibes

HEY!!!! NOW YOU LISTEN TO ME!!!

Sorry for the yelling....had to put my mom voice on.

Beth...we are all in this together. And we can't/won't let each other give up. Whatever it is, whatever you need, let us know and we will figure it out. DON'T GIVE UP!

I know where you live and don't think I won't come over there and drag your butt out! Hang in there. And don't stop posting. Please??

207 today. 3 down since last Friday. I'm happy with that, especially since I am still struggling to keep a regular exercise routine.

And today I ate lunch (after weighing in) at Cafe Rio which I really shouldn't have. It was sooooo good though. Even though I ordered a salad..not a good place for weight loss. A salad there basically means a naked burrito on an open tortilla with a bunch of lettuce on it..lol. But sooo good! And I only ate about a third of the huge thing. Now I need to work it off!!

Hope everyone is doing well. Miss you all!!!

Hi buds, I am sooo glad you're all here!

I have to do that too. For me, it will be a couple of hours before bedtime, as I am a night owl.

I've been food journaling and yesterday I found a new app for my Iphone. It may work on other phones too - it is a tool where you can journal what you eat and add up the calories. I want to see if it's better than my little notebook and having to look up each food item.

Of course, you don't have to count the calories if you don't want to, you can just food journal.

I split the fries, does that count? It was a small order too. They were sinfully delicious. I also turned down the offer of thin mints. See, I'm doing good! :rotfl:

You know, ya gotta count these little victories I say. Splitting is good, def better than eating all of them. Small order = good. And turning down the sugar, I'll give you credit for this. :)

Jen, it is a victory to come back from any trip and not have gained. Congrats! And you know if you drink a lot of water (you could be dehydrated from the trip), the pounds may fall off quickly.

I want to second what Amy said. Beth, you've come so far, don't quit on us here - we need you here, you're an inspiration.

Amy YEA ON THE THREE POUNDS!!!! Fabulous!!!! :yay::woohoo::banana:

I went to the gym today and did an hour of aerobics class (it includes bands, weights and stretching) plus did 20 min before and after on the x-trainer. I feel so good. Except for my left achilles....

Did y'all see Valerie Bertinelli in the bikini on the cover of People? Looking good.

I overslept and am sick so I didn't weigh in today.

Hope you are feeling better. :flower3:

I FINALLY did a long run today. The first since Feb 1. Made it 5 miles in 60 minutes. It wasn't easy and I can't figure out how I was able to do 13 miles just a couple months ago. Use it or lose it, as they say. Did weight works class yesterday. So exercise is going well. Eating....well, let's just say it's good that I've been exercising. :rotfl:

Great job to everyone who is sticking with this. Remember, this is about your health, your life and is worth all the energy you are putting into it!

:cheer2: That's wonderful - to me, 5 miles running for an hour is quite a feat! However, I know you were at 13 miles. Don't they say that if you were able to do it, you'll regain it quicker?

Great on the weight works class. My eating yesterday was not great and the scaled showed it this AM. It wasn't bad food, just too much. So I will head to the gym today after I get some work done.

I love your quotes!! :yay:

Happy Monday Ladies!

The weather in the SF Bay Area is just beautiful lately. Definitely nice for walks and runs! My body is feeling in transition right now...like I need to keep pushing to get back to a greater level of fitness. But I do feel out of equilibrium, which isn't necessarily comfortable, but I guess necessary to get back in shape. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to take a rest day today or exercise. I'll see how it goes.

And for the QUOTE OF THE DAY:
Look up and not down. Look forward and not back. Look out and not in, and lend a hand.
Edward Everett Hale

Great on the 3 miles!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Nice weather down here too.

Yesterday I went to the gym and noticed there was a mid-day yoga class. Haven't done that in a long time. So I did 20 min cardio on the x-trainer before and after.

I weighed myself at home and was down a pound from the morning! I couldn't have sweated off a pound of water....:confused3 Well, I'll take it.

How's everyone else doing?

I'm meeting with my personal trainer today to get a running program, which I haven't had in a couple of months. I have some ideas for more races to do which I'll confirm and share after my meeting with PT today. Just need some tangible events to work toward before Labor Day to get me motivated. But I feel that I'm ready to start training again for a race and that I'm done with my two month rest.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
There’s nothing wrong with having your goals really high and trying to achieve them. That’s the fun part. You may come up short. I’ve come up short on a lot on my goals, but it’s always fun to try and achieve them.
Tiger Woods

That is great. Smart planning.

Yesterday was really light for me, just did some Wii exercises. Today I saw my trainer, did 40 min on the x trainer and about 40 min of weights and machines with him. He has these European style ball thingys with handles in addition to the regular weights.

I really feel it when I've done a cardio or anything though. I don't mean sore, because he's good at not going too far, but I feel sort of exhausted and I tend to eat more that day.

But it's also a good feeling.

How is everyone else doing? Keep movin' whatever you do.:cheer2:
