I'm not gonna lie, that 5k course looks scary to me.


I played an hour of ping pong tonight. My friends and I all ended up sweaty and yucky. We're vicious, but not intentionally, we just can't play very well.

:) I don't know CA very well -what is that large castle? It looks like we run/walk through that? Not sure what the numbers mean either. Water?

I know you have to keep a 15 minute pace, and if you don't then a van picks you up.
 
Okay, Wendy, I just looked at the slide show from last year and it's not that bad. They've got young kids doing this. It said they will have carts if you can't finish - so like golf carts I think.

But I'm thinking this is do-able. They are stopping to take photos with characters and stuff. It really looks like fun with a lot of neat surprises along the way. The start looked so crowded, but I guess then it spreads out.

That link Jen gave us did have the graphic map, I found it this time. It has the slide show too.
 
You guys are doing WAY better than I am. I have just had WAY too much crap on my plate this year. I keep saying after this after that but there just keeps being way too much going on. I have had so many doc apts and crap and I know that is no excuse I could do it on the days I DON'T have apts but it is SO hard to get back into a routine. Of course that is NO excuse for my eating but part of the problem too is the new meds I am taking affect my eating. My doc TOLD me that gaining weight was a possible side affect. One I DON'T need thank you very much. I busted my BUTT getting off what I did and I wasn't done thanks! I will be po'd! If I start gaining when I wasn't even DONE yet. I am going to talk to him about it when I see him tomorrow cuz I DON'T want to start gaining!

Anyway keep up the good work to those that have done well and hopefully EVENTUALLY I will get my lazy butt in gear ;)

Come on! That's not scary. We did more than that for your torture walk, um, I mean scavenger hunt!

Good luck with all those appointments. The thing about exercise is, you just got to start. I don't think you feel like doing it until you've been doing it. Start with a walk today!

I went for a walk this morning, and I'm pretty sure it killed me. It's very possible I'm typing this from the "other side." Although, it does look a lot like my room. :confused3

Made it to the gym for a teeny bit of cardio and a full weight work out.

Amy--- I went and got some Skinny Cow Ice Cream sandwiches. I was sad to see that the store was out of the mint. I did get vanilla. They are so good. It is hard to believe that they are low points.:thumbsup2

The mint sandwiches are my FAV! But I can never seem to find them anymore....vanilla is my second. Of course they are all good. I just prefer those too. I like their other products too (cones etc) but ice cream sandwiches just seem like comfort food to me...so they really hit home. yuuuuummm!!
 
I got on my WiiFit and found out it's been 87 days since the last time I was on it. :rolleyes1 It had the audacity to tell me I weighed 227 lbs. :scared1: I know weight fluctuates and all, but that's just downright mean!

I've been drinking plenty of water and am trying to eat healthy.

Looks like we will be registering individually for the Disneyland half marathon and 5k races. So commit to your goal and sign up at www.disneylandhalfmarathon.com! Nancy (yellowmickeyponcho) and I are working out some plans to coordinate with the DIS and Give Kids the World, but whatever is worked out will likely not have anything to do with registration, so go ahead and sign yourself up now. I do not believe that registration is yet close to being full, so there will still be a chance to sign up later.

Also, if any are interested in signing up for the half marathon, they have a discount code posted on disneyrunning.com that I can help you find. I do not believe this code works for the 5k or kids races, however.

Hope everyone is working their individual healthy eating and exercise plans. Food journaling, watching your calorie intake and exercise are the methods that work. And drink your water!
