Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

I've heard that name before, phentermine. My ticker is from a phentermine forum if you'd like to check it out.

And OF COURSE you'll still be a part of our group!
I think it's really good that you sought your doctor's help because we don't know until we ask, right?

Good luck with the pills!

Thanks Christbel!

Happy start of a new week!

It sounds like most of us had a challenging weekend. I was definately ready for it to be past me. I sure hope I haven't gained back the weight I lost last week. I did hit the gym tonight and tracked today but I just finished eating a handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Grizzbuzz the recipes look delish! I'm going to try the apple crisp this weekend. I don't have any good low cal/low point suggestions. I love apples (it really does make it feel like fall). Does anyone happen to have a good low fat/low cal recipe for banana bread? I have a bunch of them in my freezer and I've been craving banana bread, but if I make it with the recipe that I have I'll plow through the whole loaf and that would make this weekend look like a starvation diet.

Capri - Welcome back. Everyone has to follow their own path. If you are following doctors orders and it works for you then that is all that should matter. Even with taking medication you may need to be able to vent, get support or just have some great conversations.

I just started looking at the DISign boards yesterday to get some ideas for our vacation next year! I love the ones you've created. I'm in awe that you've been able to figure out how to create your own.

Tomorrow WILL be better!

Hi Eagle Mom,

Ohhhhhh, I totally don't have the talent to make those designs. I tweaked a couple using my photobucket account, but the gals on the creative boards did them for me.

Check out the creative board. If you see a design that someone did that you like, just ask them if they would create the same design for you and give her all the names in your family that you want done.:thumbsup2

Happy Tuesday Ladies!

Capri: I love those designs. I'm going to have to check out the creative boards!

I've got a busy, nerve-wracking day at work. I will get through it (by avoiding it on the DIS ;) ) Not sure how I'm going to get in my run and weights, but will find a way to do at least one or the other.

So, here's the QUOTE OF THE DAY:
What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?
- Robert Schuller

Keep the recipes coming. I'll look for a good banana bread one.

Ok, day two of my fat flush and I just finished breakfast.

I'm going to get dressed and do some laundry before I leave for school.

I'll probably be heading to they gym right after school so that way I can just get it over and done with because Law & Order: Special Victims Units is on tonight. NEW EPISODE! :woohoo:

Hopefully I can get some of this massive amount of homework done today.

I spend a good majority of the evening checking out the magnet boards on the cruise thread. I'm just amazed at some of the work! I've copied a bunch of photos for possible use, but I want to create something quite specific and I haven't seen anything close (Mickey & Minney as characters from the Adventurers Club). I'm going to check out the DISign boards (not cruise related) tonight to see if I can find someone that might be able to design one for me (I would love to surprise the DH for either his birthday or xmas).

I weighed in today (my normal day) and I lost .4:banana: Since I last weighed in on Saturday I was extremely happy. I know I had a bad weekend, but I guess I did well enough last week to carry me over. I've just decided that I have to just hit the gym after work (and not come home first). Can't give myself the possible out of not doing it.

Off to the DISign boards!

I have done pretty well today :goodvibes

Ate very healthy and did cardio for 45 minutes, sit ups & crunches.

I have been eating ok this week. I've had more veggies than normal thanks to my new housemate! I will try to work out at the gym tonight but Heather (lilycat) is coming over to start planning our dis ladies only trip details for travel, hotel, etc. There are 23 weigh ins till the friday of our trip, so my goal is to lose 2 lbs per week...if I do this, I would hit 199! Here's to hoping!

Happy Wednesday Ladies!

Update on me: I'm doing my food journaling and finding that yes indeed I am eating too many points. I guess that's why I'm not losing any weight. Nothing like being honest with myself to find the root of the problem.

I did my running yesterday and plan to do my weights today.

I found a WW BANANA BREAD recipe to share:
2 point per serving (not sure on the calories, sorry)

Ingredients
1 sprays cooking spray
3 Tbsp vegetable oil
2/3 cup unpacked brown sugar
3 large banana(s), or 4 medium, mashed
2 tsp lemon zest, grated
1 large egg(s)
1 large egg white(s)
2 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp table salt
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup golden seedless raisins
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Coat 24 mini muffin tins with cooking spray.

Blend together oil and brown sugar. Beat in bananas, lemon zest, egg and egg white.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.

Gently stir half the flour mixture into banana mixture; stir in buttermilk, remaining flour mixture and raisins.

Divide batter among muffin pans. Bake until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean, about 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool in pans for 10 minutes before inverting onto a rack to cool completely.

To make frosting, blend powdered sugar and lemon juice together. Drizzle over cooled muffins.

Good Morning ladies!
I kinda fell off the wagon yesterday since I had the day off of work... I spent the day cleaning and finishing laundry but I also went shopping and got my stuff for Halloween for the MTOTP!! I bought new jeans! I am down a size and now I'm a size 18!!! No more 2 as a starting digit!! I was so excited!!! Anywho not a lot else going except that I now have a clean upstairs... LOL!!

:wizard: Just wanted to share a yummy butternut squash soup recipe I got from WW and modified a bit. Healthy and no points (so it's got to be low in calories)

I like low cal soup because you can cook it up, have it on the stove and basically fill your tummy up with as much as you want without having to worry about calories. Of course, perhaps not so enticing in those hot climates, but if the air conditioning is up, maybe good there too.

BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP
4 cups vegetable broth
12 oz. butternut squash (I used on largish butternut squash)
1/2 vidalia onion (I used a yellow onion)
1/2 to 1 small apple
salt to taste
pepper to taste
nutmeg to taste

topping:
fresh sage
a smidge of light butter/spread

Here's how I prepared:
-cut squash in half, seed and bake in 400 degree oven for about 30 minutes (until soft enough to scoop it out easily)
-sautee onion in olive oil
-add in cubed apples
-add in salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste

When apples, squash soft (about 10-15 minutes) use an immersion blender to cream soup. Or you can blend in batches in regular blender.

Add a smidge of butter and a sprinkle of fresh sage on top and serve.

Yummy and tastes like Fall!

:cool1::banana::cool2: Congratulations!:woohoo::dance3:

You know what? I organized my close a few months ago and I categorized my pants and skirts by size. I have a size 22 (current) to a size 16 in my closet! Can you believe that? I can squeeze into my 20s but it's not comfortable yet.

I'm aiming to be a size 18 by late October. I'm really going to push myself this month because I'd love to be 2 sizes smaller for my birthday, Nov. 2nd.

Can you believe it, I didn't wake up until 1pm!

I know I go to bed late but even without an alarm clock I'm up at 9:30am the latest. I figure it was because of my hard workout yesterday.

So I've decided that I will go the gym MWF and work out at home (via videos) TTH. That way I don't completely sick of the gym and if for some reason I can't make it to the gym I still have my workout videos at home.

Today I think I will be doing kickboxing. I used to do it and it was a great workout, I'd sweat a lot and feel sore the next day.

Hi everyone. I hope you're all having a better week then I am. Ever since the lousy weekend I had, I've been unable to get fully back on track.

I'll work out, and do ok until evening, then I blow it. :confused3 So come Friday, I won't be the least bit surprised to see the scale showing a gain of a few pounds.

I'm not giving up though. Hoping this is just some kind of funk, and I'll be back on track soon. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...... LOL

Best of luck to everyone else!!! :wizard: :cheer2:

So I shared my yummy soup with the family and, well, they didn't find it so yummy. Let's just say they ate the crouton on top and that's it. Well, that's ok...more for me! :snooty: I ate three bowls today. :goodvibes

Will try to find yummier recipes tomorrow. :upsidedow

I'm right there with you. I haven't seen the 100's for a LONG time and when I reach it I'm planning on getting a spa pedicure (hang the cost).

Happy Wednesday Ladies!

I've discovered the same. I've committed to tracking for the last week and so far this week (and hitting the gym) and I've lost weight. I hate that if you follow all the rules it works, but dang it that is how it is.

I found a WW BANANA BREAD recipe to share:

YIPEE! I'm going to try this on the weekend. The hard part will be only eating one serving.

You know what? I organized my close a few months ago and I categorized my pants and skirts by size. I have a size 22 (current) to a size 16 in my closet! Can you believe that? I can squeeze into my 20s but it's not comfortable yet.

You CAN do it! I don't know if I would try and shoot for two sizes in one month. Just do the best you can and celebrate when you reach your goal.

As I said I've been tracking, drinking and I've been to the gym three times this week. I'm going to take tomorrow night off from the gym but will try and take the dog for a walk.

eating has been pretty good, nothing bad so far.

I did taebo tonight and it was HARD! I haven't done a video workout in a long time. I'm still trying to find my favorite kickboxing/jujitsu video. It's somewhere in the mess we call the garage.

Oh my...is it Thursday already? Where does the week go?

So, I'm doing well in my food journaling, but not as well in my exercise. I didn't do anything but a short walk yesterday, when I meant to get in some weights. Eventually, I'll be able to focus on both exercise and eating in the same week. Plan is to get a run in today.

Hi ladies,

I think I've lost a couple of pounds this week. Oh, I hope so!:wizard:

Yesterday I had a salad with a raspberry vinegrette dressing, and then later I had a few bites of chicken breast and some sugar snap peas. I also had a few bites of some browned hamburger.

I do need to increase my water intake though. And I need to exercise more.

I've got to get going. Cleaning day at my parents today. Whooo hooo!:laundy: :dance3:

Today has been going very well for me.

Woke up on time!
Took my fiber, drank my hot lemon water, and for breakfast I had a strawberry smoothie.

Lunch: Tuna sandwich from Subway with baked Lays and diet coke.

Dinner: Pasta w/ beef and mixed vegetables (grandma was here!:goodvibes)

I'll probably have my 100 calorie ice cream in a bit when I watch Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School. I love classic cartoons!

OMG! My workout today almost killed me. I ran/walked 30 minutes, bicycle 10 minutes, and weights 15-20 minutes. My arms are already sore now, I bet tomorrow I won't even be able to lift my armsBut I'm glad I finally started weight lifting. As for upper body I focused on my biceps, tricpes, pecs and I also worked out my abs.

I'm REALLY hoping for a loss this week. If I could lose 2lbs this week I'd be a VERY happy girl. That would put me at a -15lbs! Then I'll only be 20lbs from baking weight!

:lmao:Diana (my sister) and I made an agreement, I had to lose 20 lbs before I could start holiday baking, or at least eat her holiday baking KWIM ;) I get into baking more during Christmas time but she likes making pumpkin pies and banana breads during the halloween/Thanksgiving seasons.
