Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

I'm glad my husband and two older kids like to do the Wii Fit... it's become a competition and that's very motivating!

That is so great that your whole family is being active. That is my goal eventually. I figure by starting with getting us to eat healthy and in the correct portions I will then be adding exercise in. When I start back to work next monday I will have access to a gym, so I will start with walking on the treadmill and go from there. My first goal with that is just to start getting my body limbered up again.

Ok, lets all start the day right with a bottle of water! Everyone have there's? Ok, now drinking them down...just imagine the water flushing the weight right out of your body. What a great way to start the day!

I'm getting my running and weights in this week. Today I'm going to do a little swimming.

And I'll drink my water!

Have a great Wednesday!! :goodvibes

And just for fun:

:rotfl2: Ahhh, if only it were that simple!!! LOL

Keep up the great work ladies! Friday and weigh in day are fast approaching. We can do this!!!

Sarah, thanks again! I needed the reminder. Ok, drank some water and have the bottle at the ready for the rest of the day.

I've done some more Wii Fit today:
~10 minute boxing
~two beginner runs
~3 minute super hula
for a total of 20 credits. I'll do some strength, balance, and yoga later today.

It's soooo motivating to think about getting in shape for our Disneyland trip.:wizard: I know I will enjoy it so much more if I have the stamina to last the day without getting exhausted and achy. I hope I can lose 10 pounds by then too. I'll weigh in on Friday with you guys and report if I've lost (or gained  ) anything by then (starting with my starting Wii Fit weight taken a week ago today)

Wendy, glad you still did your workout. What did you do? I managed to log 32 credits today. 20 of them were with free step. I also did the yoga tree (86%), the push ups (6 of 'em and on my knees - still hard but I felt like they were a little bit easier today - just a LITTLE!) some soccer balls (I gotta be honest... I got a great score tonight!) some ski jumps... I think that's it.

I'm glad my husband and two older kids like to do the Wii Fit... it's become a competition and that's very motivating!

I do a two mile power walk in the morning and then after breakfast I play on the Wii Fit. Usually in the AM I do all the step, the long distance run, hula hoop and a mixture of strength and yoga. In the PM I usually do the balance games, I think those ones are really fun. I don't care for lotus though, I don't like how they try to scare you.

That's great that your husband and kids like it too! Keep up the great work!

Hello!

I worked out yesterday, did 5 miles. I haven't exercise yet today but I'll be going later tonight. I'm hoping that starting this 12 second Sequence (Jorge Cruise) will help me shed lbs and inches faster. It is good to have a healthy weight but I'd rather loose size since it's more noticeable.

I keep trying to do the fruit flush but I can only last a few hours before my head starts hurting and I get ravenously hungry!:headache:

Hi girls!

You all are putting me to shame. I am just out of control on many levels.

Here was my day--up at 5:30, feed cats, make coffee, take shower, put on make-up, eat half a sandwich and an orange, leave at 7:15 for 8 a.m. doctor's appt. Wait for doctor. See doctor. Get colonoscopy scheduled. (Aug. 15--oh joy.) Stop at Starbucks and get iced venti Americano. Stop at gas station and fill car. Get to work. Have conference call. Answer email. Have another conference call. Send emails. Assistant goes and gets me sandwich for lunch. I eat in between checking the Dis and fielding phone calls from Mom about house getting painted. 2 p.m.--opposing counsel arrives for meeting. 5:45 p.m.: meeting over. Review emails and voicemails. Check Dis. and it's now. This is what it is like in my life EVERY DAY. I am utterly exhausted. :surfweb:

Oh--I DID drink a bottle of water during my three + hour meeting!

Aw Cheryl, I am sorry you are so busy. But I know I don't need to tell you how important it is for you to take care of yourself. I mean schedule it in if you have to, lol, but it's just as important as any meeting or any client.

You always make time to do what you need to do to meet your clients needs. Well now, you need to do what it takes to meet yours. That includes getting enough rest, eating healthy and exercising when you can.

It won't be easy with a schedule as busy as yours, but baby steps is all it takes. Work one thing in, then another, and another until it all becomes second nature. The water today was a good start!!!!!!! As were the appointments.

You can do this and we are here to help in any way we can! :grouphug: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Cheryl-

Good job on the water and the doctor's appointment! Oh, your life sounds so busy! :headache: I think that Beth is right about scheduling in time for yourself. It's so important! Even a little pampering might be in order (I'm thinking a pedicure or something  ...). That kind of schedule just doesn't sound like something that I could do day in and day out. Do you have the opportunity to get our of your office during the day just to get some fresh air and go on a walk? Can you schedule in time where you can just focus on yourself and rest? Taking care of yourself is just as urgent as taking care of all those demanding clients. For sure!

QUOTE OF THE DAY

Take care of the body with steadfast fidelity. The soul must see through these eyes alone, and if they are dim, the whole world is clouded.

Hello everyone!! Come out, come out where ever you are!! Tomorrow is weigh in day.

Good luck today everyone!!! Let's do this!!!! :cheer2:

Hello everyone! So I got a call from the scheduling office at my work yesterday to discuss my first day back which is this coming monday. Because I have been out for the last 6 weeks I am at the bottom of the totem pole so to speak on overtime. They have informed me that on Monday I will be working a double...16 hours in a row with no breaks! It will be my first day away from my daughter and I had planned to try to start working out at the company gym after my regular shift, but I guess that isn't happening. I have to admit to being a bit nervous. At least my husband has that day off so I know she will be with him. Aggkk!

So, has everyone had at least one bottle of water today? I haven't so here it goes....ok, there is one bottle down! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Sarah

I wont do it. You can't make me! :snooty:
Don't make me kick your butt again......:rolleyes1

That's just awful! A new mom on the bottom of the totem pole? 16 hours in a row on your first day? :sad2: I'm so sorry. I'm sure your baby will be fine, but I can totally relate on how hard that would be to go from no work to 16 hours in one full swoop. I think here in California we are a lot more mommy friendly and there are more rights for new moms (and dads). Is there an HR department you could issue some sort of complaint?

Good luck on Monday!

OK, I'm going to go get my water now...:drinking1

I appreciate all the support! Nope to the complaint thing...there is something about a union and the people in my category wanting to work straight 8s with no breaks so they can get home sooner in the day, which is all well and good unless you are forced to work the overtime shift which is due to not having enough people to cover. Hopefully we will hire more soon! At least the money is good...got to save up for my disney trips!

Hello!

I did 4 miles at the gym yesterday. 1/2 mile of that on the stairclimber. I was dying! Only 1 more mile and I achieve my July exercise goal!:goodvibes I'll be going to the gym tonight as well.

I talked to Tyrae (DSis' DBF) who worked as personal trainer at 24 Hour Fitness and he said I need to cut my calories down to 1400, the same as Diana (my DSister) who is 80lbs lighter than me! 1400 calories?!?!? How will I live?

How many calories are you getting currently? I normally have about 1550 at my current weight and I can add to that if I work out but it just depends on your weight and exercise level as to how many calories to eat.
