What a beautiful day for a Disneyland DIS meet. I had the pleasure of meeting two new DISers this time (not new to the DIS, just new to me
).
I finally met Goofster57, aka Keith, and his family. Keith is the Disneyland King Pin. He has been collecting pins for the last 18 years !!! He remembers back in the olden days when Disneyland released 15 - 20 pins a year at a price of $3.95 per pin. Now Disneyland releases 15 - 20 pins each week at a cost of $6.50 - 12.00 per pin. ...Oh the good old days... Beside pins we chatted about the Disneyland DIS board members. And no Keith, I promise not to tell everyone what you said about them.
I also met Quentin Disney. Quentin was wandering around the path outside the RiverBelle Terrace. I recognized him from the photo in his signature and jumped in front of him. Sorry if I startled you Quentin. Sunday was his second day of exploring the parks. When I asked him if Disneyland met his expectations, he replied "The jury is out". He had not seen every attraction as he was pacing himself. Quentin was anxious to experience Disneyland and headed to Autopia after he was given some Disneyland advice by the experts: Diva of Dragons, Larry_Poppins and Goofster57.
I also chatted with Diva of Dragons, aka Lisa. Lisa gave me some great travel advice. Never go on vacation without a car. We Californians love our automobiles and are lost without them.
Last, but certainly not least, Larry_Poppins. Larry had on a fantastic DCA shirt. He is lucky to have a CM connection who purchased it for him. I now know who to turn to when I want something.
All in all, the meet was much too short. We missed Carolyn. Maybe she saw the 11 of us and thought twice about stopping by. Stay tuned for some photos of the meet and a special edition of Where in Disneyland just for MaryJo. </font>
