I have an 8:50 BB reservation but I wanted to get the Fantasmic Package. Do people cancel that often? Is it like WDW where the closer it gets the more likely ressies will pop up? Same with getting a possible earlier ressie time in general?

If nothing's available online you can always just ask when you check in. They usually have extra tickets available.

Thank you for the information guys! I thought it was odd they had reservations for BB but not Fantasmic package. Is 8:50 to late to make Fantasmic!?

We had 8:40 reservation for the F! package and the timing was perfect. There was a bit of a wait so we probably didn't get seated until 9:15ish (at a waterfront table! without a special request). We had a nice, leisurely dinner and really took our time. We had enough time to stop in a shop to buy a sweatshirt then went right to our front and center viewing area with 5 minutes to spare before the show. I would imagine they will let you do the dining package even if you just have regular reservations, especially for the later show. You could always call Disney Dining and ask?

Can I ask, what exactly does BB Fantasmic package get you? I ask because I can't see where you would be able to view the show from BB.

The Blue Bayou Dining Package includes a cushion (for ground seating) and a FP for the BB Dining Package reserved viewing area. The BB viewing area is located in the most "prime" viewing areas for F! (front and center).

Thanks Figment, that explains everything.

We haven't done the F! dinner package but we did the old dessert package they used to offer. I am pretty sure the area is similar if not the same and it was really good for viewing F!.
