Hi everyone :) so I am going to Disneyland in June for what will be for all intensive purposes my first time. My family goes to disneyworld a lot but Disneyland is completely new to me. I know that the two resorts have some similarities but a lot of differences. One of those differences that I heard about was their dining systems. I know that the Disneyland dining system is more laid back and that u only need to make a Disneyland dining reservation 30-60 days in advanced and that only a few restaurants actually need advanced dining reservations. Which places need advanced dining reservations? Specifically does storybook cafe need and ADR? If so how many days out should we make one? I do want to know about other possible ADR required places though. Also, do you know if there are any Restaraunts that will feature gaston? My mom and I have never gotten a chance to "meet" him do we are hoping he won't be as hard to find in Disneyland. Also another counter service recommendations would be nice as well :)

I think you mean Storytellers Cafe, right? I haven't eaten there in a few years but we didn't need them for a non character meal. I would make a reservation 60 days out for the Blue Bayou and any character meals just to be on the safe side. Also, for the WOC dinner package so you can get the time and show you want. I like to make one for Cafe Orleans about a week ahead because that is a favorite and I want to pick a good time. I've seen people get same day reservations but usually at off hours. I can't think of any others but maybe others have some recommendations.

Gaston, no not at DLR, perhaps in the MK's FL expansion.

Reservations can be made for any TS location just like in WDW.

Just to tweak what Pink budgie said. Reservation are really easy to make at your leisure. The only time they are harder to get is during peak days. The only time I'd use the 60 day mark for is Christmas week. While most you should be able to make a week or day before, even for dinner in the morning on the same day, if you want something particular do it a little earlier. If you have a specific time and place a week should work. If it is for Blue Bayou or Napa Rose then two weeks.
