The Studio Chapter welcomes author and Disney fan Kendra Trahan as she talks about her book "Disneyland Detective" at The Studio Chapter's next meeting on Sunday, April 18th.
A frequent visitor to Disneyland since she was a child, Kendra looked for a single resource that talked about the little things that make Disneyland so special. When she couldn't find such a book, she decided to write one, and the result was "Disneyland Detective," which shares the secrets, lore, and seldom noticed details of America's first modern theme park. Kendra will talk about her book and what went into creating it, and will also have a slide presentation where she'll show us some of the things that she found while researching her book. Whether you've visited The Happiest Place on Earth one time or a hundred times, you're bound to learn something new from Kendra's presentation! In addition to Kendras presentation, well have refreshments and well be holding a raffle for fabulous Disney prizes. It's no secret that you'll have a great time at our next meeting -- please join us for a fun and exciting afternoon!
The Studio Chapter meets at 1:00 p.m. in the Mary Pickford Education Center at the Museum of the American West (formerly the Autry Museum of Western Heritage), located directly across from the L.A. Zoo in Griffith Park. There is plenty of free parking. Non-members are welcome to attend. NOTE TO MEMBERS AND GUESTS: The Jimmy Stewart Relay Marathon will be held at Griffith Park on April 18th in the vicinity of the Museum of the American West. Access through Griffith Park may be restricted during the marathon, and parking in the Museum of the American West and L.A.
