Disneyland/DCA FastPass?

I think I know the answer but I want to make sure. If we use our tickets to enter Disneyland I can take them over to DCA to get FastPasses even though the rest of my party is still in Disneyland. Right or wrong?

Yes, they will be active once you use them to enter either park. Once active you can get FPs with them at either park.

Once a family has entered (& the tickets have been activated) EITHER park a runner can hop to the OTHER park (with all of the tickets) & gather FPs for the entire family.

So the answer is "Right".

Incorrect.

Once they are activated at either DL or DCA, they are activated for both. You need a handstamp and your ticket to go back and forth between the two, but since the OP is asking about a runner taking the FP tickets cross-park to get FPs, only the runner would get a handstamp as no other members of the party would be leaving the first park.

Ski, Dreams and Hound are 100% correct. Enter either park and your entrance ticket is enabled for both parks simultaneously. I have done this personally many times with my family members.

Question about FP at WDW you can use "expired" time window later in the day is this the same for DL?

Does the FP system work the same can you your entry ticket is waht you use to get passes and you can collect new passes once the time has opened up?

Yes it's the same. You may not know this for WDW, but do it next time there too.

A FP can be used once the window opens until the end of the day (the only exception I've heard of is at WDW on super busy days like New Years Eve). You can get another FP after your initial FP window opens or 2 hours later, which ever happens first. Also you can get one in one park and another immediately after in another park(Easy to do in DL and DCA, harder to do in Epcot and DHS because of travel times).

Interesting. That isn't what we were told but we had not tried it. Good information. We're going to have to try that sometime. This sounds like one of those things that the CMs just don't know about.

Since DLR is where late FP usage started, and WDW picked it up a few years later, the question is really whether WDW is the same as DLR. And with regard to late FP acceptance it is. But in other regards it is not exactly the same. Just mostly the same.

ST has been running out mid to late morning since opening in June. Space and Indy can run out on busy days. Peter Pan gets a big line and doesn't have FP.

TSMMania does not have FP but the line only gets to about 45 minutes. It's the longest line in DCA without FP so many people hit it first.

LMAUA started having huge lines, 2-3 even 4 hours. But a couple weeks later it would reach a couple hours and be down to 45 or 30 minutes by noon. Now it has lines under 30 minutes and lots of walk on waits as the rush has died down and it has a large rider capacity. So I wouldn't worry about it and would ride it anytime but right away.

At DCA, you want to get WOC FP as early as possible, unless you want the second show. Please note that getting a FP for WOC does not prevent you from getting a FP for another attraction and holding a FP for another attraction does not prevent you from getting a FP for WOC, but you cannot get two tickets for WOC with the same admission ticket.

Please note that DCA does not have that many attractions with FP, the only ones left are:

• Goofy's Sky School
• California Screamin'
• Tower of Terror
• Soarin'
• Sometimes Grizzly River Run (runs out by about 2:00 on hot days when offered)

On average TSM lines are usually about 45 minutes and Little Mermaid are about 15 minutes (can get up to 60 minutes, just come back later).

DL has the following attractions with FP:

• Star Tours (Can run out as early as 30 minutes after park opening)
• Space Mountain (During busy days will generally run out by about 3:00 P.M.)
• Roger Rabit's Cartoon Spin (Last I checked, it is not connected and rarely runs out)
• Big Thunder Mountain (On Busy days generally will run out by about 5:00)
• Splash Mountain (On hot days runs out by about 2:00)
• Haunted Mansion Holiday (Busy days runs out by about 3:30)
• Indiana Jones (I don't think I have seen this one run out until about 30 minutes prior to park closing)

I believe that I got all of the attractions with FP listed.
