Disneyland Closing Early on Oct. 23 - Why?

I just noticed that Disneyland will be closing at 6:00 pm instead of 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 23. The Parade of Dreams has also been deleted from the schedule of events. Since my family and I will be at the park that day, I am wondering why the park will be closing early. Any ideas?

Bumping. I really thought someone out there in Dis Land would know why the park is closing early.

We are going to be there that day too, but on their calendar on their website, I am still seeing 8:00, with the Parade of Dreams at 7:00. Where did you see it posted differently?

Wow, you're right. It's been changed back to the regular closing time. DH thinks it may have had something to do with the World Series. Game 1 would have been at Angels Stadium in Anaheim if the Angels were in it. Now that they're out, maybe they've cancelled whatever was going to be going on in the park. Hurray for the parade and regular closing time!
