Can anyone recommend a place to go for a good meal for a character dinner in Disneyland? We will be out in L.A. during my son's birthday & I wanted to go somewhere that would be fun, but also have good food.

I haven't been, but I saw a thing on the Travel Channel and there is a character meal at the Grand Californian. :) That looked really fun from what I saw!

Have a good trip!

Try Ariel's Grotto at California Adventure. We saw lots of characters there and every 15 minutes or so the characters do a little marching parade with all the kids. :) The food wasn't too bad either. It's a preset price and you get to pick one thing of the appetizer menu, main menu, and dessert menu. The kids meals come in a sand bucket with a shovel. Very cute. :)

The only character meal I know of at Disneyland itself (and I could be wrong) is a character breakfast with Pooh characters at Plaza Inn. We did that too and it was good as well. :)

I like the Blue Bayou but it isn't a character dinner. It is a waterfront restaurant inside of The Pirates of the Carribean ride.

It has a lot of atmosphere.

There are 2 character breakfasts on main street

1. you need to pre-arrange, it is as you exit the watch shop.

and the other

2. Is at the big yellow restaurant with a porch at the end of main street which is open to the public. They have all the great Mickey foods and the Winnie the Pooh characters!!

Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel is a great character meal. It's a bit pricey, but the food is absolutely fantastic and there are tons of characters. The last time we were there, we did Goofy's Kitchen for one of our dinners and we had a character at our table every few minutes. Have fun on your trip!

I second Goofys kitchen!
We ate there in June and had a great time!
TONS of characters, and TONS of food!

We saw, goofy, mulan, catp hook, donald, rafiki, and pluto!

Every few so often you get to do the Macarena too!! :p
