Good morning,

My family and I are planing our first Disneyland trip. We usually go to Disneyworld in Orlando but we thought of doing something different to celbrate my daughters remision from Cancer.
At first we wanted to go with a neighbor dysney hotel but then I started looking into a condo rental close to Dysneyland. We have 2 daughters, one is 22 and the other is 17 and on the spectrum so having there own space is essential especially for my youngest one who needs an isolated space to chill out after a day at the parks.
Any recommendations or advice are welcomed.

Thank you

What we like about DL is the ability to walk everywhere. That includes to our accommodation. Not having to worry about transportation is nice. The ability to get back to your room easily and get away from the park crowds is nice. We do find the Disney resorts at DL pricey. While it has been a number of years since we have been to DL our preference was Candy Cane Inn, HoJos was also very walkable and mousesavers often has good rates. CCI has connecting rooms I would expect that HoJos would as well.

I love Disneyland and how close everything is. I have stayed at the GCF and DLH and while they are in the disney bubble and super close they are pricey. The Hojo is a fave of ours, its so close and a great price with a very short walk.

We've done DL a number of times, both onsite and offsite. Our son is also autistic so I totally understand the need for a separate space!

I would check out the Desert Inn & Suites, they are really close to the pedestrian entrance and they have suites and are reasonably priced especially if you book far in advance.

DI&S

I would look at their B1 or C1 suite. Both have two separate rooms with 2 queen beds in each. The B1 suite has a full bathroom in each room and the C1 has a full bathroom in one and a powder room in the other. The Park Vue Inn has a 3 Queen set up with 2 Queen beds in one room and a 3rd queen in a separate room but there are not many of this type of room at the motel so it is hard to book.

We're going for the first time in February and have an 11 year old son on the spectrum. We're staying at the Hyatt, it's supposed to have a separate bunk bed room for the kids, we'll see how that goes!

We did WDW a few times when the kids were younger, then switched gears and have been doing DCL for the past 5 years. Fingers crossed we'll manage as well in the parks!

I'm not the OP but great to hear. We just booked Desert Inn. Love how the hotel is literally across the street and it's quite reasonable for a 2 rooms (we booked Parlour Suite). I noticed that it's harder to find on third party sites (e.g. Expedia) but you can book direct.

After you have stayed there once, call the hotel directly and ask for their returning guest rate!
