So planning our trip next summer. I realize almost impossible to get GC reservation on points.

But is there any other dvc perk when going to Disneyland? Like room discount when paying cash? I went on Disneyland site and didn’t see a “ specia offers page” like on WDW.

Just curious if I should look for or learn about any perk dvc gets when there.

Thanks.

We were surprised to get DVC discounts on dining, including from QS restaurants, during our last visit in 2019. I think DVC also gets a merchandise discount. Basically, we just always asked, "We're DVC owners, are there any discounts?"

On the Disneyland website the restaurants pages only mention magic key discounts. But on the DVC website they list a lot of dining locations with DVC discounts, including quick services.
I wonder if the DVC discounts will be automatically added when you do mobile order. I've seen annual pass discounts added automatically on qualifying mobile orders at WDW, but I don't know about DVC discounts on mobile orders in Disneyland.

We’ll be staying at the Grand Californian in 21 days - on a cash reservation, I’ll report back :)

They do. Was able to get the DVC discount automatically whenever I mobile ordered during my April visit to DL/DCA.

You can’t. The DL version of MDE doesn’t show DVC membership in Memberships & Passes, and you can’t add it, but when you do mobile order, it adds the discount automatically anyway.
I'm one of those crutsy used resale DVC owners and I automatically got a discount at Award Weiners. They gave it to me when I mobile ordered and my DVC is linked to the MyDisney account.

Will also say that the DVC people at the kiosks in DL/DCA are among the most misinformed you will ever meet. We stopped by one of the kiosks so I could show DS where we were staying on our next WDW trip and DS knew a lot more about direct/resale than the guy at the kiosk did.

Correct, DVC is linked to your MDE, but unlike the WDW app, it doesn't show up when you look for it in the DL app. Even though it doesn't show, it still adds the discount (unlike in WDW where it DOES show, but you don't get a discount). Disney IT at its best.

Can I assume you don’t have a MK? Right now my MK discount applies so there’s no way to know if my DVC is link. It annoys me that profile affiliation lists just about everything else under the sun (Disney+, visa, etc) but not DVC. I should figure out if there’s a place in Dland that takes DVC and not MK discount to find out.

Wait you saw a live person at and DLR kiosk?? Like recently?? DLR is my home and I never see a DVC person in the wild. Always have to go to their office in Grand Cal if I have a question or to even pick up the scenic selfie button. 😅

I have a MK. And there IS a way, because it says on the receipt "DVC Discount".

The great thing about Disneyland is you do get discount at all quick serve on mobile order added automatically. Begs the question why Florida can’t get the same, as this is a great perk. I got DVC discount on all mobile orders in August and I don’t have MK so it 100% does it.

I went back to look at my receipts including one at Docking Bay and it says Dream. Perhaps they pull your highest discount but now I’m curious to find a location that only does DVC. Thanks for the photo evidence.
It does. I have family members who are CM's, so I hardly ever need the MK and opted just to grab an Imagine Key. Never there very long if I do use it, so I typically just park in Simba.

It does add up too. A couple of bucks on every little trip to a QS ends up being maybe an extra $100 off every year (conservatively). Probably more. I think I went to Bengal BBQ that day as well (like right after Launch Bay) so I probably saved $4 or $5 that day alone.

Well I live in the U.K. and only been the once, but I was buying for 4 people, so yes it was a great perk. Of course you get table service discount as well.
Theres no reason/ excuse really it’s given at California and not Florida.

I don’t ever go very long either but I don’t want to pay for parking each time. I noticed the year I got a SoCal pass I went 8 times and with my Dream I was up 73 visit. 😅

Anyway I finally found like 1 location that doesn’t offer MK discount and apparently not DVC discount for the sippers but at least it’s proof it’s attached! Now I feel better. It’s kind of nice that DVC members get discounts pretty much at all same places as MK people here at DLR. At WDW there is a few places that only takes DVC or give more for DVC so that’s why I wanted some confirmation.

We are also planning to go to DL next summer. I had (I suppose mistakenly) hoped GC reservations might be a bit easier to get in the summer for 1 and 2 bedroom units. Is it as bad for those in the summer as it is for studios in general?
