This is my family's first trip to DL but we have been to WDW many times. I have been reading your posts and have collected a lot of good advice. We will be staying at the Staybridge Suites with the buy 3 get 2 free nights package. I received our package with our tickets and Magical Extra booklet today. We are arriving on Saturday, Aug. 21 and leaving again on Thursday, Aug. 26. We have a rent a car and will be travelling to Hollywood for a day and hoping to go to Newport beach for part of a day. Now that I have given you some of our background info here are my questions. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

1) We received an ART family pass with our package. Do you know if that is good for the whole trip or is it just a one day use?:confused3

2) Which day would you suggest would be the best for the MM early admission on Sunday morning or Tuesday morning? We will be seeing WOC on Saturday night using our picnic fastpasses. This will be our first time in the park, so I am wondering if we will be too tired for Sunday. I know the AP's come unblocked on Sunday, so would Tuesday be better?:wizard:

3) I have heard mixed reviews on the preferred seating at Aladdin, do you think it is worth using? I really want to see the show and I am wondering if we will get a better seat by using the pass?:grouphug:

1) I don't use ART so I can't answer, sorry!

2) I think whatever morning you think you can swing an approx. 1 hour pre-MM-Opening arrival (to line up) would be best. It's a vacation - if you're too tired on Sunday, do Tuesday. Just my $0.02 :) You probably know this, but just in case, AP's don't have MM unless they're staying at a Disney resort hotel.

3) Oh we loved it! Used it in June. Much smaller line to wait in, and we got awesome front row seats (what we wanted-you pretty much get your pick :thumbsup2 )

1. The ART pass is good for the whole trip, they will punch the tickets when you board.
2. I would do Tuesday, but if you are staying on site and can deal with getting up early, I would do both.
3. We like the priority seating, just gives you a jump on everyone else with a better seat selection.

We are staying at the Staybridge Suites which is a good neighbor hotel, so I think we only get one morning for the early entry. The booklet says DL park hopper souvenir tickets feature MM admission into DL park and then in the magical extras booklet I see a Mickey's toontown MM voucher. Does anyone know if that means we can do both mornings?:)

Yup, a ticket that has MM and a stay offsite = 1 MM entry.

Toontown MM is a separate thing. Toontown (the land inside Disneyland) has a vouchered event on certain mornings, where only people who have the vouchers can enter. They have character meet n greets, and a cute little show. This happens past early entry, so you don't need/use early entry for this event. You can search this forum for much, much more detail :)

Yes. As the poster above mentioned, Magic Morning and Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness are two separate things.

I really wish they'd change the names of these things...both having MM really makes things confusing for newbies.

Okay, off my soapbox ;)

and let's not forget Toy Story Midway Mania...yet another MM :rolleyes2

Thanks for all the help.:goodvibes. I did find it abit confusing.
I have another quick question. We will be arriving at the parks for the first time on Saturday afternoon and then we will be picking up our picnics for the WOC show at 9:00. Does anyone know how late DL will be open on Saturday, August 21? and do you have any suggestions as to what might be nice to do with all first time visitors after WOC that night?

I would think DL should still be open till midnight. I recommend the Jungle Cruise at night. We finally did it twice this last trip and it was a lot of fun. Also, if you have time when you first get there that afternoon, grab some Fast Passes for rides like Big Thunder or Indiana, you can then go use them after WOC. :cool1:
