Disneyland 70th speculations and news

Thanks! I’m following along
I didn't realize that reserve area is behind… I wouldn’t be able to see fireworks in the castle which are my priority…
Reserve area is behind what? The Town Square parade viewing is usually in the region of the teal circle below.

The red arrows indicate the path of the first show. The second show goes in the opposite direction.

I’ve booked the 70th tour. I’m not sure about its value really. Especially seeing as you go on attractions and get LL for a specific ride doesn’t seem that impressive if you’re already utilising LL. I’m doing a long trip from Australia so using one of my non LL days for the tour.
I’m a bit disappointed that there seems to be no longer Walt’s apartment access, with this tour replacing the other one. I will see what the feedback is like closer to my dates and make the final call.

I am stoked for the paint the night reserved seating (although agree fireworks castle view would have been amazing.) I have reservations for the dining package but probably will cancel those depending on feedback and can just camp out if I want to watch it a 2nd time. And a snack is also nice.

I reserved the tour but will be watching to see where the reserved area is. I want to watch fireworks directly after so if it's near small world I'll cancel it. Just my plan!
What if the parade was at Town Square (facing the train station)? You would still need to work your way down Main Street to watch the fireworks.

I have both Plaza Inn and the tour booked. The more I look at it, the tour really doesn't seem worth it to me. 45 min of a two hour tour will be taken up by the boat, the train and the LL attraction. Will the guide be sharing history on the boat and/or train? If not, half of our tour will be spent listening to generic pre-recorded narrations. If both packages include comparable parade viewing, is an hour tour, popcorn, and a keepsake worth $65 more than a meal?

The description says "Save time and skip the standby line for an attraction that’s fun for all ages." The LL attractions that are available for "all ages" include the following.
Edit to add... A cool thing would have been to include the Walt animatronic on the tour. I wonder if they didn't add it because they still aren't sure it will be ready.

I SO VERY much hoped it would be a visit to the Walt Disney Animatronic! Boo
