Disneyland 1/2 questions

Hi again!

For some reason, I can't get any info on the Disney Marathon website. A travel offer is covering everything and I can't seem to remove it. I was hoping someone could help me out.

1. Are they posting how full it is yet?
2. When does it typically fill.
3. How much is the pasta in the park party? Has anyone ever gone?
4. Have they posted the course yet?

May want to give it another try. The page looked fine to me just a few minutes ago. To answer your questions:

1) I don't see anything on the site that shows how full it is, yet.
2) From what I have heard, usually in mid-June.
3) $115 for adults and $99 for children ages 3-9. Children under 3 are complimentary. This is my first time in the HM, so I do not kow much about the Party
4) Not yet. Still say coming soon.

This is just an educated guess but I think the construction in DCA is making them alter the course. Because the course is not 100% on Disney property like in FL they have to work with the city to get the new route approved by everyone. A bit of governmental red tape is surely involved in that.

I did the inaugural in 2006 and while the experience is very different than the WDW marathon it is a great race and a good time.

An answer to a few of the questions:

1) They only post when a race gets to 50% full(it's not even that yet) so no posting.
2) The race hit 50% last year on 3/25(not there as of 4/22) and filled on 7/7/08. I would expect it to take at least until Aug before filling this year. Every year it has taken longer to fill since it was created.
4) The course will also bring back the ability to run through Angels Stadium as they are out of town. Last year they had a game that day so your couldn't run in it.

Maybe I'm just losing my mind, but I can't seem to find the two threads about the DL 1/2 Meet & Greet. Does anyone know where they are? I've actually posted on them before, but now can't find them! Am I crazy? (Don't feel like you have to answer that one!)

Got a question and figured I wouldn't start a whole new thread.

We are planning on getting into Anaheim around 2 pm on Friday, Sept. 4th. I was going to send DW and DD4 into the parks while I went to pick-up my packet. DD4 will be running in the 200 meter race on Saturday. Does she need to be with me to pick-up her packet or can I just bring the confirmation and get it while they go on rides?

At the WDW races I have picked up my DD5's packet without her and no one seemed to care, I'm assuming it is the same at DL. If they do give you any problems (which I really doubt) it is not too far a walk from the parks to the expo to have DD come and get it with you.

Slight changes in CA Adventure, no run down Main Street, but we're going through Angel's Stadium once again this year!

Slight detour coming out of Angels Stadium area to make up distance.

It appears to me, that the first overpass next to the Mickey & Friends Parking lot has been eliminated!

We will now be exiting somewhere Backstage onto Disneyland Drive. I think near the bottom of the downslope of the overpass, just before the right hand turn onto Ball Road.

Whoo hooo, one less hill.

Does anyone know of the hotels that will have the shuttles for race AM?? I can't seem to find this information.

Last year we were "lucky" and the hotel we made reservations at was on the hotel shuttle pick up route.

Looking at doing a Sheraton since I have points I can use..yeah!

Well, with the DL marathon 70% full.... I guess that I need to make a decision.... what to do? what to do? I really, really want to run it. Would love to get the coast to coast. I ran Goofy this year and probably won't do it again. It was so much fun. I don't see how I could top it.

So, this is the year to do the coast to coast. I just hate that it's over Labor day because I always look forward to the long weekend with the kiddos home from school. I'd love to take the whole family, but it's just not realistic for pay for the flights and only be there for a couple of days. Normally, I don't mind pulling the kids out for a few days of school, but this year my DD is taking two classes at the high school even though she's going in to 8th grade. It might be a little overwhelming for her to miss classes at the beginning of the year. She's already pretty nervous about it.

What to do? What to do?

Thanks for letting my ramble on. I really just need to figure this out so that I quite thinking about it!
