Disneyland 1/2 Marathon Weekend ** September 2-4, 2011 ** Check-In

Same thing here! And I tripped down our stairs and hurt the top of my foot, I'm a mess. Try these http://www.powersteps.com/powerstep_pro I'm wearing them in my sneakers almost all day, even with PJ's on. I'm missing out on two 5k's this month alone but I know the less I do on my feet, the better off I'll be

I do have custom orthotics but what has really been helping is acupuncture!! I am optimistic it will soon be healed!

Hi all!

My entire family and I will be down in DLR for their Half Marathon weekend. My parents and two younger brothers will be competing in the half marathon, and my boyfriend and I will be competing in the 5k. We are all very excited. Not sure where we are staying yet though....

My boyfriend and I have already signed up for the WDW Half Marathon next January, and we will be going for the Coast to Coast medal in 2012. :)

Yea C2C in 2012. DH and I did our 1st half at WDW in January, and this is our year for the C2C!

Clue #5:

I am so utterly stumped by these, lol. Not my forte!!

And I will work on updating everyone to the OP by tomorrow night.

They changed the backdrop and pictures on the race website! It's now a blue colored background and the picture's the one of the guy running that they use in their ads. Other than that, all the info is the same.

Wish they would post the courses soon, but w/ all the construction, I wouldn't be surprised if we have to wait until July. I know the outside part of the park will be the same as the pastfor the 1/2, but I love seeing where we get to run in the parks. The 5K will be interesting too!! Last year we finished in DCA and the year before it was at the Emporium, so hopefully it's just as fun this year!!

Haha, I hadn't even stopped to think about what the course will actually be. That will be fun to see when it's released. But there's still tons of time yet, huh?

I noticed that the Angeles have a home game on the 4th that starts 12:35 so I guess that means we won't get to run through the stadium this year. :sad1: I wonder if we will even get to go in the parking lot?

Here is the description from the website:

The course for this magical event will take runners from the Disney California Adventure™ Park, celebrating California's storied past and exciting future, to the Disneyland® Park where you will explore the fantastic "lands" of nostalgia, color and delight. Then it is on to the scenic streets of Anaheim, past the Honda Center, home of the Anaheim Ducks, along the Santa Ana Trail overlooking the Santa Ana River, by Angel Stadium, home of the MLB's Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and then past Disney's Paradise Pier® Hotel and the Disneyland® Hotel for an exciting finish of the Happiest Race on Earth! Ideal weather and a flat loop course set the stage for an exhilarating Half Marathon designed to shatter personal bests.

We will. That happened I think in year 3 of the race. I'll check the old map from that year. I think what we did was run around the "A" and then around the front of the stadium by the big helmets. They just stretched it out a little in the parking lot.

I'm really hoping, aside from the Cars land and the DCA entrance, the construction near in the back by Little Mermaid and the Goofy ride will be finished so we can go back into DCA towards the end instead of running through the parking lot and behind Paradise Pier.

I have also come to learn that it's also the maritime flag for "M". ^

Here is the next clue if anyone can decipher it, lol. I'm useless but I love to hear other people's ideas:

I have also just updated the OP again with those who have sent me PM's to be added.

Here's Clue #8. People have said either this Friday or early next week they'll announce it.

Don't know about any of you guys, but aside from the 1st clue, I've got absolutely no idea. :confused3

Here's the last clue!!!!

So based on the picture and clue #9, I'm thinking

It's Disneyland! It's Disneyland! It's Disneyland! :banana::banana: :yay::yay: :dance3::dance3:

Now we just have to wait until Tuesday and they make it official.

This is where I should have posted, but thought I would let everyone know, I GOT IN!

I went through one of the official Disneyland Travel Groups but ill be there on the 4th. I cant wait! I have never been and I'll be heading over with some friends from Orlando.

So let the blind booking start. Any suggestions on where to stay?

Hi everyone! We're east coasters (from Miami!) getting ready for the DisneyLand 1/2. We participate in every running event WDW offers and are officially set up for the coast-to-coast challenge! Look forward to having lots of fun at this event =)

Welcome natlovesarielpins! Is this your first trip to DLR? It's a completely different experience than WDW.

I'm going for the C2C too. Good luck!

I know we didn't need to submit a time for corrals if we plan to be over 2:45, but I just did my best half ever last weekend in 3:02:30. :cool1:

Clobbered my PR by 7 minutes and 23 secs! :yay:

Since I put an estimated finish for the DL half of 3 hours in the registration and now have a time this close to 3 hours, do you guys think I should submit it to RunDisney? Thinking it might help my corral placement to have an official time.....

Any thoughts?
