Just registered for the DL 5k. This will be my first 5k. I am so excited.

I am going to register for the 5K hopefully it's still open. This will be my first Disney race and my second 5k. I did a local 5k but had to walk most of it as I am out of shape. No plans for hotel and such yet. Not sure where I will be working/living in September. Probably just the weekend. Longer if I'm able to.

I would definitely hurry up! It's 95% full as of today's update on the website.

My sister and I will also be running the 1/2 marathon in Disneyland. We just completed the Princess 1/2 in WDW and although I thought it was my first and last road race.....I am hooked. And my sister won her age group of 60-64 which made the weekend even sweeter.

Okay, I couldn't wait anymore, add me to the list for the 5K! I was hoping to be able to wait it out for the theme and course, but it jumped up to 90% today!! Everyone's crazy for the Disneyland this year. This just shows that they have to add another DL race. (please, please if you're reading this run disney)

I can't believe how fast this year's sold out either. Faster than the previous 4 years that I've done them. Usually we have until at least June to decide.

Glad you jumped on it when you did! It sure has filled up fast this year. I wonder when they'll announce it's full.

You can come check out our room. I hear it smells like suntan lotion in the lobby.

We are going to do the Character Breakfast at the hotel on Monday. I don't remember the name of it. I want to do the one in the park but my aunt's only buying a 1 day ticket (for Sunday). Is there other Character breasfasts at the other hotels? Which is the best?

The character meal at PPH is Mickey's Surfs Up, I believe. It's one of the few I have yet to do but I know Mickey is there, and I think a few likely others will be Daisy, Lilo and Stitch. The GCH has Storyteller's which features 'critters' like Kenai and Koda, Chip and Dale, Meeko, etc. and the DLH has Goofy's Kitchen which is one of my favorites and I can't begin to list off the characters I have seen there (OK, I can ... Snow White, Honest John, Cinderella, Jasmin, Belle in her blue dress, etc.).

And I may just take you up on that. I totally want to see the PPH, lol.

I just signed up for the 5K to go with the 1/2 marathon. I was hoping to hold out a little longer as I transition to a new job this year but I wanted to make sure that my name would be in for Saturday as well. Looking forward to this one!

Hi all

Haven't posted on this thread for a while. I did get registered before the race sold out. Now all I have left is to get air fare. I could fly for $220 in April but it's 380 for September. Every time I go on travelocity the low spring prices keep mocking me. It keeps poping up you could save if you fly Columbus to SNA, I click on it and It's for april, then it pops up Dayton to ONT is cheap, nope It's April.

I've got race weekend booked in the Travelodge on Ball Rd. Then I check in Monday to the Grand Californian Villas for 6 nights. I'm planning on flying in on Saturday so I'm not going to do the 5K.

Is there a reason I was skipped over and not added to the lists on the first page ? I see this post was updated on the 18th and I posted on the 17th and people were added who posted after I did.

Again, Pyrxtc's DH will be running the half for the Coast to Coast challenge. He did the Goofy in WDW.

pyrxtc along with 4 family members will be running the 5k.

So Run Disney is announcing a new race in April!!! Let's hope it's out here. They are giving away clues on their facebook page. The 1st one is " Our first series clue features Fantasia, Dumbo and Tangled!"

There's a thread on the WISH Section, but I thought I would post it over here to see if anyone has any ideas.

right? I saw someone think maybe it had something to do with the # feature it was. So Fantasia = 3, Dumbo = 4, and Tangled = 50

We will be staying at the DL hotel. This trip is also to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We stayed the first night of our honeymoon at the DL hotel, so this will be an extra special stay for us!

Hi Everyone,
Please add us to the list for the 1/2 marathon at DL. We did the 5k and 1/2 marathon together in January and then my DH did the full. We are going for the C2C. We will be staying at the Desert Inn. We are not sure if our grandsons will be with us, as it depends if my DH has to go out before hand to watch them while the military sends my son to Hawaii for training.

Same thing here! And I tripped down our stairs and hurt the top of my foot, I'm a mess. You shouldn't worry!! It won't be bad. I've done it the past 4 years and it's a lot of fun. Just go easy and enjoy Saturday and then run the 1/2 like you're real race. It gives you the chance to enjoy the sights and take pictures on Saturday and then you won't have to worry about it on Sunday when you have to run longer and there are more people.
