The Independence Day Challenge is cutting in to my journaling, but I'm okay with that because it's a great motivator for me. I don't want to be the moderator who gains the most! I truly want to get to goal by the 4th of July so I've got to get moving.

An unusual midday post for me and my journal, but as I was prioritizing (Doe, you know) I realized that I made exercise number 16 out of a possible 18 A priorities for today.

Now I'm expecting company tomorrow, so a great majority of those surround housework, which is exercise in itself, but it's telling re: where exercise is in my list of priorities.

This is something I pledge to work on in the next few weeks so I can meet my 7/4 goal.
 
Hey Disneygoof. You are doing well with your points- keep it up. I know what you mean about the excersise- I am the same way. Good luck getting motivated enough for some kind of workout.

Yesterday's exercise-more walking than usual, but nothing formal

Well, I was off program yesterday in celebration of reaching my first goal. I've reached the normal BMI range! I'm down six pounds since joining WISH so I claimed my first clippie as well.

I am inspired to stay healthy.

I've got five pounds to go to get to the weight my doc and I discussed, and ten to get to where I want to be for maintenance. I've finally moved past my plateau, and am moving downward. I'm getting a lot of compliments, which is great because it shows that it's not the few pounds that only I know about, but something more significant and noteworthy. My sizes are down, and I'm stronger and more flexible. If I can keep this up, who knows how good I'll feel?

Look at that beautiful new clippie you're wearing!! You sound like you're back on track after a bit of a bump in the road - way to go!!

I must say that it's easier to START a new way of eating and exercising than it is to jump back on plan after a slip-up!! That's the TRUE secret to success in this game and it looks like you've already gotten some practice.

Well, I'm taking advantage of being able to keep my points low and the pounds are coming off, but I'm just not making time to exercise. I know I won't get any in today either, and the same tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to the weekend to try to get some walking in, and want to restart the couch to 5k program. I know I won't be able to do the race in August, but I can still try to reach the goal in an informal way.

Usually when I'm working I'm snacking like crazy but I've been bringing a healthy snack with me and not eating any junk. We'll see what the next few weeks until 7/4 will bring.

I've been enjoying your journal. Congratulations on your clippie. :)

I have a question about your last post .. the couch to 5k program. Would that be the program from the coolrunning site, or is it a different one? I've been trying to get on track for a couch to 5k plan myself, so I'm looking around for different ideas since there seems to be some debate about how long it should take. (Granted, I can barely run 5 minutes right now, let alone 5k, so I'm thinkin it's gonna take a while. lol!)

I'm trying to make 5k by September. Maybe we can be virtual running buddies. :)

I'm going to try to start the aggressive program again on Monday, and I'll have a spreadsheet done with dates. If you want me to email it to you, pm me your email address. I'd love to have a running buddy! The more motivation, the better.

I'm going through some weird weight loss period where the weight is coming off so fast I'd think the scale was broken if I hadn't weighed in at the doc's this week. I'm about a pound away from my second goal so I hope I can keep it off. I've GOT to get moving. I've been keeping my calcium rule, but I'm not taking care of the weight bearing exercise or crosswords.

Best wishes for your running program! I can walk forever but if I run, my knees, ankles & hips get very upset with me! :p

OK, so this weird weight loss is still going, but I'm not complaining. If anything, I'll be ok if a little comes back on, but I'll be bummed if I have give back my shiny new clippie.

I'm down another four pounds this week to 136. That's 10 since I joined WISH, and one pound short of the weight the doc and I discussed. And I'm going to re-start the C25K tomorrow, so that should help me keep the scale moving down.
