I am trying to locate INEXPENSIVE disney clothes for the kids for the next trip. So I went on www.disneydirect.com web site and found a nice kids t-shirt (for DS) on sale for $3.95. I went to checkout and the shipping cost (international) worked out to $33 US? Obviously I did not purchase it!

Have any Canadians had any experience with purchasing from Disneydirect.com and if so, if there any way around the HIGH international shipping costs?

Have it shipped to someone in the states or have it shipped to the place you are going to. They usually have free shipping to the US addresses.

A lot of american web sites have extremly high prices on shipping things to Canada. Even to have something mail ordered from the parks to Canada is about $30 dollars. We have ordered things off the web site but we just order a lot of stuff to justify the whole $30 shipping fee. However what I really want the set of table and chairs on the site that is dirt cheap they wont send it internationally.

Hi, I have ordered many times from Disney direct, standard shipping is generally always 42.00US, you also get a DHL customs bill months later. The products come very fast 3 days usually. I think it's only worth ordering if you are ordering large, I mean at least 100 US simply because no matter what you order I have always payed the 42US. Usually I order home products, I have even shipped in a toybox from them. But never just clothes it wouldnt be worth it. Try going over to Buffalo - check Target, Walmart and Kmart they all have disney clothes much cheaper and you wont be paying to ship it. The clothes selection for kids in Walmart in the US is much better, last trip over I picked up a bunch of tank tops and short sets for my son, all Mickey - the short sets were 5.00! Now is a good time to go if you can swing it all the summer stuff is on sale!

I buy alot of stuff on Ebay. Shipping is reasonable. You can ask the seller a head of time what shipping would be. I have had great success getting Disney stuff but I stay away from disney direct.
