Has anyone Disneybounded in the parks before. I am going on a trip with my cousins and aunt this summer and we're planning to Disneybound when we visit CRT.

I'm planning on disney bounding as Ariel.

Last trip we took in Aprilwe met a couple who was disneybounding. They explained it and my niece is super excited to for the next trip in June.

Technically, it is against Disneys dress code for guests but I don't think they care about bounders cause they aren't impersonating the characters.

I'm pretty sure the dress code is that adults can't be in costume. Disney bounding is just dress that is inspired by a character - similar colors, jewelry in that theme, etc. So I really don't think it's against the rules at all.

I disneybound at work and no one knows but me!

On our DHS day, we have a Jedi Mickey dinner (woot!). I will be wearing a white t-shirt, white shorts and will have my hair in two (tiny - I have short hair) buns. ;) I might or might not wear a cheesy silver belt too.

Thank goodness Disney bought out Star Wars so me dressing as Princess Leia counts as bounding.

On our first EPCOT day I'm going to wear a blue sundress I have with a white bow in my hair and try to get my picture with Village Belle in France!

No. Wearing costumes is forbidden. Disneybounding is not.

Bounding isnt against the dress code... If i happen to be wearing a green dress & it gets hot so my hair end up in a bun I shouldnt be asked to change.

Its the actual COSTUMES, cosplays, wigs, etc, such as ones youd see at MNSSHP or the 24 hr event that are against the dress code. A full on costume is MUCH different than a disneyboud if youre bouding properly.

Ok, I have NEVER heard of disneybounding, but the gist I get on this thread sounds super fun! Anyone have pics of folks doing this?

This is a super fun blog about it: http://disneybound.tumblr.com/ that features both layouts of ideas and photos submitted by Disneybounders. Too cute!

We're doing a bit of this in October: One day we're all wearing polka dots and doing Minnie, another day we're pirates, and we have some Elsa and Anna looks, Snow White etc planned. The 10 year old girl in our party is much more excited about this than wearing a costume.

Usually I could not care less what I look like in the parks; I just want to be comfy. On this All Girl trip, I'll be stepping it up a bit!

We just got back and I Disneybound while we were there. I did Ariel, Silvermist, and a Stormtroper. It was a blast! I saw others there doing the same. It was fun to check out all the ideas out there. You have some time to plan you outfits so go for it!!!

I think I unintentionally Disneybounded my four year old LOL. We have an A&E FP and she loves Elsa. I wanted something for her to wear that was Elsa-ish...and not a princess dress. Princess dresses are fine and all but I don't want to deal with it in a theme park. I don't have a pic of her in it because the trip is a surprise (we leave in 8 days!!), but here's what it looks like:

Here's a link to how I made it: http://hellomellowmama.blogspot.com/2014/05/diy-elsa-inspired-outfit.html

I love the disney bounding idea :)

Well I fail. That picture is showing up huge on my computer...how do I fix that? :confused3

I plan on doing a pretty relaxed Disneybounding on our June trip! I have a few different colored shorts and plan on wearing tank tops in character colors and I made character hair bows. I plan on doing Anna, Jack Sparrow, Pooh, Donald Duck, Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo, Stitch, R2-D2, and Peter Pan.

That is perfect! She will look so cute!
I plan on wearing a frilly yellow shirt and a gold chain with a rose in glass on it to my dinner at BOG.

The Elsa outfit is SO cute! Great idea for a non-princess dress route :thumbsup2

I've been Disneybounding for the last two trips and I love it. I do it a lot at home too. I even pulled a Disney printed novel/Disney produced play character out two years ago when I did Molly Aster from Peter and the Starcatcher. Instead of wearing the beautiful pinafore dress my mom made me for Molly when I saw the show (my friends and I dress for the show sometimes ;) ), my mom made me a skirt with the same material as the dress and I wore a white tee-shirt, black short leggings (with the pinafore, I wore long black leggings XD) and my hair the same style Celia Keenan-Bolger (who played Molly on Broadway) wore it. I think that was the most fun and special, because I got to meet Black Stash, I mean Captain Hook ;) (Black Stash becomes Captain Hook in the show XD) while wearing it.

I'm already planning out my Disneybounds for my October Birthday trip. Here's my list:
  • Captain America
  • Roger Rabbit (since he's my favorite character and I found a REALLY cute bow on Etsy)
  • Jane Porter - Yellow and Purple (for our Animal Kingdom Day ;) )
  • Iron Man
  • Wendy Darling/Cinderella (doubling up especially since I have silver glittery Bobs XD)
  • Young Ellie (if I can find overalls with a skirt instead of shorts, I hate shorts XD)
  • Mickey Mouse
  • Sally Shine (for a DHS day ;) Sally's the little girl from the Tower of Terror. Her name's from the TV movie.)

Captain America's already done and I've worn it a few times already, including wearing it to a drive-in showing of Captain America: The Winter Soldier in my area. Got TONS of complements on it because it was simple and cute. I'm still working on the rest and I truly can't wait. :hyper:

I am Disneybounding for the first time every in my June trip (in 18 days!). My sister and I are doing it for our two days in the Magic Kingdom.

Of course we will be Anna and Elsa one day (thought she is blonde so she got to be Elsa and I'm redheaded so.... I'm NOT Elsa...)

The other day we are villians: She is Ursula and I am Maleficent (we have the ears!).

I'm super excited about this. My Maleficent costume was inspired by this:

I'm wearing the WARM WEATHER version of that! ::yes::

Thanks everyone :goodvibes Can't wait to see her in it! I kind of wish I'd seen this thread earlier, I have red hair so I totally could have pulled off Anna or Ariel. I ordered a shirt to wear though - it has Elsa'a profile but says "Winter Is Coming" (from Game of Thrones)...two of my favorite things combined!

Well I only showed up on this thread to lay my ignorance to rest. I had to follow the links to find out what it was. I learned something new today :)
