Disneybound-ing

Those shoes are super cute!!

I have 4 days to go and still no closer to knowing what I'll do for Disneybounding. :(
Who are your favorite characters? As I've been planning my outfits I started there and focused on the color schemes and then scoured my current wardrobe for things that would fit. I was actually amazed at how many things I already owned that would work! I also think Disneybounding can be done with very subtle details, that most people wouldn't necessarily notice, but that you would know were paying tribute/representative.

I wore my Mary Poppins hat to the park last Saturday. The parade was coming around just as we entered the park. We walked down the sidewalk and made it to a crossing spot just as Mary Poppins came through! She was on the other side though, and I didn't get to wave to her. But then the chimney sweep float came by and one of them pointed at me, waved and hollered "There's Mary!" Then he told the other sweeps and they came over to wave too and motioned for me to come jump on the float with them. LOL!! That was a fun way to start our day! :thumbsup2

I love Disney Bounding!! I've done Ariel and Belle. Cindy and Merida are next!

I actually saw quite a few Mary Poppins Disbounders, Dapper Day weekend. Most were in the white Jolly Holiday dress though.

We just got back from a very fun trip, and managed to do a few days of Disbounding. I need to get all my photos organized and see if we managed to get any that show our outfits! DS was Winnie the Pooh and I was Christopher Robin on Monday, but we had to modify our outfits because of the cooler weather, so they didn't show up quite as well as we'd hoped. On Wednesday I did Snow White and got a lot of compliments on it, and DS was "carsland" with a red Hawaiian-style shirt that has a print of classic cars on it and jeans, although at the last minute he wouldn't let me roll his jeans. Our colors went really well together, even though our themes were different. And today we were Bruce the shark (DS) and Dory (me). We were only in the parks for a few hours today, but did find a few CM's who spotted our Disbound!

It was so much fun doing it with DS, and he really got into it! He's started thinking about what else we could do, and really wants us to do Monsters, Inc next!

Can't wait to see your pics! Those sound like some cute outfits!

Hmmm...looks like I need to do a better job of getting pictures of our disneybounding! Well, here's what I've got:

This was our Snow White/Cars Land day. My necklace is hard to see, but it's a red apple charm. DS decided not to roll his jeans or wear the cute hat we'd picked out, and he wanted to wear his star wars tennis shoes. I know better than to argue with a 7 year old over his clothes, so I let him go with his own interpretation. He said that the Mickey ears and pin lanyard really meant he was in Cars Land at California Adventure.

This was our Christopher Robin/Winnie-the-Pooh day. I was supposed to have shorts and not have long sleeves, but it was too chilly that day to go the shorts route. Next time I need to have both cold-weather and warm-weather options! DS has a little "hunny pot" pin on his shirt next to his lanyard. As you can see, he's very attached to his Mickey ears and his pin lanyard...

And this is the best I've got so far of our Dory/Bruce combo. Unfortunately, I don't have on the black wrap on that was the black part of Dory. DS has on gray shorts and gray/blue/white stripe socks and shark shoes. He's very proud of his shark tooth necklace, and it got a lot of attention from the CM's we met that day!

I'm hoping that our friends have some better photos of us! Next time I'm going to make sure we get pictures right away.

You two are so cute!! :) That took a lot of planning for that many outfits!

Disneybounding is so cool! I'm planning on doing Honey Lemon (from Big Hero 6), for our upcoming trip! I'd post a picture but I don't have everything together yet. I already wear glasses almost identical to hers and have blonde hair, the biggest setback is that my hair is short. But I'm really hoping I get recognized by at least someone! :D

Just buy hair extensions. There is one advertised on t.v. that really does look great.
Or maybe a wig. I haven't used hair extensions, but they look natural and nice, the good quality ones. I have worn wigs though, and they can make your head a bit warmer from what might be comfortable.

Secret Extensions as seen on T.V.:

I'm so glad I found this thread b/c DH thinks I'm such a geek for disneybounding! I went as Anna last year while DD was wearing her Elsa dress and we had so much fun! Here are the outfits I put together for our upcoming dinner at Park Fare. Can't wait!!!

I love Disneybounding and when at Disney World, the characters were really pleased.

I'm toying with the idea of going solo for the 24 hr event in May, and starting to think about a disneybound for that event. I'm thinking it should be something really emblematic, like one of the original attractions. Probably I'll go as the castle. Gray capris, pink tshirt, blue and gold accessories?

Like that Disneybound idea.
Thinking I might go as Captain Jack. Yes, ye be disneybounding in drag. :) lol Only it would be in reverse. Now if I could just finally find that undead, squirrely, cursed gold coin thieven stinky ill behaved monkey who dare be named after me! He may come in handy. I'm not at liberty at this time to share any of me details, however, it may or may not include, to no certain degree, debauchery, plundering, pillaging, public and or private drunkenness, mooning the entire British Royal Navy, dancing in the moonlight, drinking brandy, only brandy though if thar be no more rum available! :faint:
