Disneyana Convention/Event in 2003?

Has anyone heard whether the Disneyana Convention/Event will indeed happen this year? I attended the 2002 event, never got contacted for the usual post-event questionnaire, and am still waiting for the November mailing that was supposed to inform us about next year's plans. Has anyone heard anything at all, either by phone, e-mail, or snail-mail?

Usually by this time of year, Event Services has closed the early-signup window for current conventionears. Then usually in Jan-February, convention signup is opened to the general public. If current conventionears haven't heard anything by this late date, it makes me wonder if 2002 was the curtain-call for Disneyana, and that we will not see a 2003 version at all.

I did get the postcard ot take the survey and have heard nothing.

I concur...after the disaster last year......maybe Epcot decided they can't do it right after all.

A couple weeks ago I talked to someone who helped organize the event last year. She said that it will be at EPCOT again. That's all I know.

I e-mailed them a few days ago with the same question and this was the response.

"I'm sorry to inform you that to-date we have still not received information regarding the 2003 Disneyana Convention. Our knowledge of the up-coming event is limited to the theme, "The History of Smiles", and the tentative date, August 21-23, 2003. We have been told we should have further information by the end of January so please feel free to check back with us then."

I can't believe that they would attempt to re-create the disaster they had in 2002.
Wewill probably be down to see all my firends but somehow doubt that we will register for the event. We may still eat our words but, I paid good money to have a not so good time.
