We did the Synergy in Science class on 10/4 and my kids loved it! Picking up our tickets was very easy, we just went to a ticket window at Hollywood Studios around 6:00 pm on Saturday 10/1 and she didn't even bat an eyelash, got our tickets in a minute and headed into the park. Very easy, we were very happy with the whole experience.

Can I ask how old are your kids? We are scheduled for that class in January 2012 for my 6YO and 11YO neice. You think they will in enjoy it or will Daddy and Grandpa like it more than the girls?

We got the call about the Epcot class being cancelled, and I was thrilled. Wild by Nature was the class that I thought my kids (DDs 8&9.5) would enjoy the most, but wasn't available when we registered last spring.

the girls are excited about Ocean Discoveries tomorrow and picking up the tix were easy and problem free...except for the monsoon we had the first two days we were here at Fort Wilderness.

I would really love to hear reviews on the classes so that we can make the best choice for the kids before we book. My kids are 9, 10 & 14, if that helps.

I'm going start playing next years trip (sep/oct) in about a month because right after that I have to start planning for big work function in september. Does anyone have a list of the classes that were/are this year in september and october?

- Art of Animation
- Sunergy of Space
- Making Waves
- Dynamics of Technology???

My DS8 and DNephew9 took the Ocean Discoveries class on Tuesday, Oct 11. They both enjoyed it. The 2 dads that took them both said that anyone over age 11 or 12 would probably be bored. The 2 dads were saying that the class was "ok", so I asked "Was it worth $500?" My BIL's face was in shock and he said "Is that what it cost??" I was dying laughing as I said "NO! That's what each family saved!" To which he and my DH said "Absolutely!"

If the dates worked out I would definitely try to book a YES class again because my kids, especially DS8, love this kind of activity, and for our family, the price discount was worth any restrictions or percieved inconvenience. But I would definitely try to book a class where the age was at the lower end of the range, because I have read that same comment multiple times.

Ok, so the Summer 2012 dates are listed now for individual enrollment....just can't enroll in them for another couple months.

So...if I am signing 2 of my kids up for one class with my husband as chaperone and 2 kids up for a different class with me....how do I purchase our tickets? Do I have to purchase tickets under both classes?

For example we want to buy 6 day base tickets for all of us. Do I have to purchase some off each class in order not to pay($28) for the class? I hope this question makes sense?

I want to know exactly what I am doing when it is "go time" to enroll

If they're taking 2 classes I think you're going to have to pay for the second class. As far as I can see, there's no way around that. If you register separately you're going to have to buy double park tickets for the kids, who would need to be on both registrations. That would be far more expensive than $28 each. So...you will register, listing the names of all four of you. When you go through the registration process, it will ask who is attending each class. Just check the appropriate names for each. I'm not sure about it, but I think the only ones charged the $28 will be your kids, since they're the only ones attending two classes.

ETA: I have a few minutes to spare. I'll run through the registration and see how it turns out, and then get back to you.

Ok...it allowed me to put four people on one registration, with one adult attending each class with both kids. The fee for the additional class was $56, or $28 per child. If you register separately, you have to purchase tickets for each person registered, which would mean buying 6 tickets instead of only the 4 that you need. HTH

Many many thanks for letting us know the 2012 schedule is viewable. Knowing that classes ARE available during our trip is an amazing relief. This means that even if we don't get a discount for accommodations, the trip is now doable with the savings in tickets.

For those who are going in June, I am looking at either Everyday Chemistry on the 12th or Dynamics of Technology on the 13th.

Our last day is the 13th, although I may be able to push it out an extra day for traveling since we are driving.

My sons will be 11 and 14, so I picked those classes that they could attend together. They both WANT to go, so it is not like I am forcing them to save on tickets. The question is which will be more useful for school. I'm thinking Technology would be more entertaining, but Chemistry more useful. Any thoughts?

Will be keeping an eye on the opening of registration dates.

Also, is it me, or did they remove the listing they had up last night??? Last night I was seeing at least through the end of summer 2012. Now the list ends at February.

Oh, I read it as the same two kids taking both classes, with a different parent each time.

If there are four kids total, and two adults, with two kids taking one class and two different kids taking another class there won't be any $28 fee. Just check the boxes for the people attending each class, as long as there aren't any duplicates there won't be any fees added at the end.

I swear they were there this morning. I even printed it out. Man, I hope this doesn't mean that they won't be there when I want to go. I even have my husband excited about this.

2 thoughts---

1) We drove and did the class on our departure day. Because we had to be packed up for check out (offsite home) and get to the class by 8:30am, it was a very hectic morning. I personally will try to avoid a departure day class next time.

2) If the kids' interest level is the same for both classes, I would select the one where their ages are closer to the LOW end of the age range. Multiple people have reported, for different classes, that the classes seem to be geared to the lower end of the age range and older kids in the class are bored. This may not be helpful for you given their ages, but just my opinion.
