Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

We are planning another week after Thanksgiving trip next year and my boys really were hoping to do on of the YES classes during that trip. Does anyone know if there were any classes scheduled for late Nov/early Dec this year? (I haven't checked the site for awhile and the only thing showing now are 2012 classes.)

I'm really torn between picking another week or not having them do a class next year if a class wouldn't be available!

I never saw any for past October, I believe. I had really hoped to do one this december.

We just found out today that the plans for Tampa are not going to happen (Friend had emergency surgery). We are attending the homeschool days classes and bought the YES tickets for only 3 days Any chance I can call and add more days and pay the difference?

Won't hurt to call and ask...the staff is very friendly. I called today because I haven't received my final confirmation and received a callback that assured me that it will come 1-2 weeks prior to the class. (my point is they are responsive and nice ) Give them a call - Good Luck!

I didn't know if this was already posted but they added individual enrollment classes at WDW through FEB 2012 and Disneyland through DEC 2012. I guess that is all they are going to have this year at the World is through FEB?

I doubt it. Last year, they didn't add the summer classes until February.

It's possible. They may arrange for you to switch your 3 day tickets for longer tickets at Guest services. I would call ASAP and ask what your options are.

Guest services is probably not the way to go, you need to contact the Y.E.S. people directly for your best chance. I meant she should call the YES people and they might be able to have the longer tickets waiting for her at guest services, for her to trade her other tickets for. Since she is asking before she gets there, she may be able to do it. You can't alter the tickets, but they can trade the tickets out for different ones. You can definitely do this if you call in time to mail yours back and get new ones mailed to you, because people have changed how many days they have.

The caveat may be this: Disney gave me a refund for 2 YES tickets we weren't able to use(dad had emergency surgery and mom stayed home with him) even though these tickets are non-refundable. The YES person who talked to me on the phone said that when I bought my tickets, Disney was in charge of these purchases. Since I bought my tickets(in February), a third party has taken over and refunds/exchanges will be at their discretion. So, it may be harder to change your tickets because of this.

how long are the classes? DO they very between subjects? There is the synergy in science class and the ocean discoveries. Trying to plan our day! Thanks so much!! I love the DIS, I would Never have known about this!!!

I would call the YES office and ask. I contacted them by email when my mom and niece decided to join our trip to see if there was any way they would let me add my niece to the class DD is taking that was closed. I also asked if they would let me add two more sets of park tickets. Someone emailed me back and said they would check with Disney and see. It was maybe a day or so and I think he called me and said they would let me add her to class and get the two extra sets of tickets. So definitely ask, it can't hurt.

I would email them and ask again. I had asked about changing tickets over email and they said no problem, to just call back and talk to whoever answered the email.

I hope you're able to get new tickets. If not, MNSSHP is a great idea. You might also consider spending one day doing non-park related activities...Downtown Disney, mini golf, Chip and Dale's campfire and movie at Ft Wilderness, etc. I'm not sure if you could rearrange your schedule at this point, but if you were able to stick the non-park day in the middle of the trip it could serve as a mid-trip break. Good luck!
