Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

I just signed my granddaughter up for a YES program in February and would like to say how much I appreciate all the information I've found on this thread! It's like my own personal answer machine! Seriously though, I never would have even known about these programs if it weren't for the Dis Boards. Thanks to you all for sharing!

I tried to sign my sons up for February 2012. I could see the February schedule, but when I went to register the latest date was in October 2011. Where did you find the page to register?

Last year, there were classes in January and February and then not again until June. I don't think they do YES individual enrollment during March and April(spring break) but I may be wrong. Summer enrollment started in February last year.

Thanks. It worked, but we are not homeschoolers and this would have also registered us for homeschool days, 2 1/2 weeks before our arrival. I sent an email to YES, maybe I'll get an answer soon.

From what I understand, they are not having YES individual enrollment during January and February this year, only Homeschool Days. If you hear differently, please let us know.

You don't have to be homeschoolers to attend the Literacy Workshop. We won't be there either for the actual Homeschool Days Literacy Workshop presentation (although I really wish we could be there for 3 weeks!! ) I called the "YES people" yesterday and here's the explanation. Since you are buying your tickets through the Homeschool Days registration, you are automatically registered for that even if you won't be there then. They have placed the registration details for the Jan/Feb classes through this link so you actually have to pay an additional $28 per class to attend another class besides the Homeschool Days. In other words, I'm also registered for HS Days even though I won't be there and I had to pay an additional $28 to sign up for the February class. Only the Homeschool Days are included in this registration without additional cost.

I asked when the classes would be moved to the main page for YES class registration and they thought not until the end of October.

I spoke with Nicole at Disney youth and was told no plans to have any Individual Enrollment classes (non homeschool) until May 2012. Anyone hear anything different?

I signed my DD up for a class scheduled to begin at 8:15am. The confirmation just came through for the same class but it says it starts at 7:45am. I know 30 minutes isn't that big of a deal, but it's the morning after we are attending MNSSHP and we would really appreciate that extra 1/2 hour of sleep.

Now I'm wondering if the class REALLY starts at 7:45 or if they tell people to show up early just to wait around for everyone else. Anyone know? Thanks!!!

My DH is attending with our oldest and I was contemplating riding with them and aiming to be at the front of the insane TSM race with our youngest but that might be a little too early I hope you can squeeze in a nap sometime that day or at least a little down time to sit & rest your feet before the party!

Yes, I was trying to figure out how to get fastpasses for TSM. I'm pretty sure I will have to stay with my DS12 through the entire class. Maybe I could sneak away for a long potty break! Or maybe my DH will come at park opening to get fastpasses....but he would have to meet us to get our tickets. Then he will have to wander around alone till the class is done....not sure if he will want to do that.

I received the confirmation yesterday (9/21). Make sure to check your email carefully. Mine said from Cliff Marvin?.....I almost missed it.
