YAY!! October Homeschool Day(only 1 day this time) is October 3, 2011 and is Learn Healthy Living through Nutrition!! Now let the planning begin :rotfl:

Just a guess but since Oct 3rd is posted on the site I would think the homeschool activities will start Sunday Oct 2nd or Monday Oct 3rd and go through the 5th or 6th. Which possibly explains why there is a gap in Individual enrollment dates during the same time frame.
Looks like we are going for Individual Enrollment on Oct 17th =) First week of Oct is t early for us =(

We are planning on the 17th too..:thumbsup2 I am just waiting until I can actually register for it...does anyone know when they plan to open it up to register for October?

Hey Everyone!

I see a lot of you talking about the Disney Homeschool Days dates for September and October (I think ) The link I have is only showing the HS days for January. Would someone mind posting a link that have the Sept/Oct dates for homeschoolers? TIA :goodvibes

They don't ask for proof of homeschool status.

Right presently this appears to be the case when most register for HomeSchool dates, but it is bound to change just as they have tightened up requirements of what needs to be provided to show that a Group registration actually fits that definition. Individuals who are registering for Home School days but are not homeschoolers should not be taking those places from homeschooled kids.

:)

Earlier in the thread, someone said Disney is denying "groups" that do not have proof that they are an official group. Basically, people cannot just create their own group out of random people and attend for homeschool days or other times of the year besides individual enrollment. I think that is important. I'd hate for homeschoolers to miss out because others abuse the system. There are individual enrollment times in summer, fall and winter. Those are a lot of opportunities to be a part of the program. In the past, you could NEVER attend without a group, so we should be glad there is Individual Enrollment.

On the website it states that Disney Youth Education Series programs are available to various youth organizations that meet our qualifications. I have sent them an email to ask for further clarification.

I, personally, would never try to register for Homeshchool Days since I don't home school my children. I would never want to take a spot away from a homeschooler. I can see how others would just try to get the inexpensive tickets. That's why I get so mad when people try to bend the rules. It does affect all of us. My DD8 is a voracious learner and would just love to attend one of these classes.

At any rate, I will post back what I learn.

Lol, I agree, but I am biased. We couldn't get into the class in January.

The October date I was looking at was for Individual enrollment..I know that they are adding homeschool days but I didn't see it listed yet.

Believe me I understand where you are coming from :flower3: ( I am not judging anyone ) because we know how lucky we were to get into Individual enrollment class on our last trip. I wish they would increase the Individual enrollment class schedule because it does seem hard for many people to work travel plans around it and then of course, sometimes the classes are already filled. Maybe if enough people wrote requesting this they'd consider expanding it even more in the future. I sure hope so. :)

I hope they continue the trend of adding classes. I always wanted to take the disney institute classes, so this way i can just live vicariously through my kids. ;)

My DD is registered for the how things move class on the 22

Mine too! I am so excited for this. My daughter is 5. We are total nerds, so this fits us just fine. The only problem is that my mother is planning this trip with me and she really wants it to be a surprise trip, like on the commercials and I really don't know if I can keep my mouth from saying what it shouldn't. .... I need some duck tape. :rotfl2:

Hi guys, new here. I just finished reading every post :surfweb: I think my kids still alive. So here are my question.

- Homeschool day is not open to register for the October dates? do you know when can I register?
- Also I have family going in the third week of October and because I homeschool and have a place to stay in Orlando I can wait until they get there. Can I wait to use some days when they get there. (I'm planning to go to Legoland too)
- Also I have four kids but only 3 are homeschool (my younger one is not register) he is only 4 yo. Can I still get a ticket for him.
- Usually I waited for homeschool registration for the 2011-2012 until the last minute, can I get the tickets for October with my 2010-2011 homeschool ID. I want to get the tickets as soon as possible.

Between two families we have the following ages 12, 10, 10, 9, 7, 7 so the class will hopefully run:thumbsup2

The class is showing as closed. When I saw how many people had already registered, I quickly signed up to buy the tickets. Looks like we are safe and the class is full

Change of plans no DVC room at my sisters home resort for week or 16th -21st of Oct. Now we are looking at Oct 9-14 or maybe 2-6th if its Homeschool days. I called and couldnt get exact dates but the site mentions a healthy living class Oct 3rd for "homeschoolers".

I told my cousin about this program and I helped her sign her grand daughter up for the June 23rd animation class. She ordered the tickets and got the confirmation. Probably a week or so goes by and she gets a call from Disney and she called back (new she can not remember who she spoke with) but they cancelled her order and told her the classes were only for home schooled children. No I know this isn't correct. Can someone please give me the name and contact information so that I can call for her? Thanks:)

It's definitely an open enrollment class according to the website. I just went on the website and the following was listed as the contact phone number:

1-877-WD-YOUTH

Hi all I have a few questions. I have tried going through the thread... but it is massive so I know I am missing some things.

One.. I notice for the Individual enrollment you can purchase up to 5 day tickets. Is it possible to get 7 days or is the cut off 5?

Two.. There is an open enrollment class that my dd would love with room for our dates. Unfortunately the ages listed are 8-15. She is 13 so no problem. Ds will be 7 and a half. I am assuming they are rigid about the age limits? He would love it as well.. and is a bright bright boy. I know he would get a lot out of it. Just wondering if they are willing to accept someone younger or not.

There is a group he could be in a few days before but enrolment is Closed so I am assuming it's full.

And lastly.. is the discount on tickets for the whole party or just the parent and child attending?

For example.. if I get tickets for dd and dh for the class but I am unable to get ds into a group, do he and I buy our tickets seperately and full price?
I have no problem doing so.. but I just want to know what to budget.

Thanks for any help you can provide.:)
