Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

We typically get the kids meal or get an adult meal with water and never get a dessert, so the meal tickets aren't really a savings for us. I may take advantage of the room discount and stay one night onsite. We want to try one of the 4 park challenges and it would be helpful to have the EMH's for that.

I asked this on the Family Board, but haven't received a response.

We're headed to WDW in May 2011. We'd like to go on the YES program, but the individual enrollment isn't going during May. Are we out of luck? Are there still classes that we could join that are not part of the individual enrollment? I'm a little confused.

Keep your eye out on the boards, sometimes people will announce that they are trying to put a group together. You must have 10 to do a YES group that is not individual enrollment. OR you could start spreading the word that you are looking to start a group. I believe each group of at least 10 receives 2 complimentary tickets.

I'm wondering the same thing--I thought the coupons looked expensive until I started looking at menus! If you buy a drink for $2.19, soup/salad/fries for $3.49, dessert for $3.59 and any entree for $7.99 then you're already up to $17+. If you buy a $10.49 entree like the 1/2 slab of ribs at Flame Tree BBQ or a $13.99 entree like the shawarma chicken & lamb platter at Tangierine Cafe then it's an even better value. I have to say I'm planning to feed a couple of people with one of those meal coupons. Will have to do a little pre-planning, though--some of the CS places don't have much in the way of sides or desserts.

I like choosing the restaurants that I can split stuff with. For instance, the pizza at Puck Express is FOR SURE big enough for at least 2 of my kids. So that would help! Also the combos at Fairfax Fare are huge!

THANK YOU!! I thought this was the case...but was beginning to wonder if I had dreamed this up.

So...looking for two children (9 and 11) to join a group May 20 - 27, 2011!

Maybe post that you are looking in your signature? Just a thought. ;)

Does anyone know the longest ticket package you can buy with the Individual Program? Thanks.

I believe it is 10 days. They are not listed on the order page, but others have said you can put a note in the comment section that you want 10 day tickets.

And YES individual enrollment is one parent stays with the child/children right?

If they are under 13, I believe one adult is required to be with the child(ren). If they are over 13, the parent has to be in the same park, but does not have to go to the program.

I talked with Heidi at Disney and she said that they are only offering 8 day tickets this year, not 10 day.

I called and spoke to a CM on Friday and she told me that the most days you can order is 8 days, and the prices for 8 days would be $186.82 for park hoppers and $204.92 for premium. HOWEVER, I called again today and spoke to a different CM and he told me that you can request up to 10 day tickets. It's not guaranteed that you will get 10 days, but if they have them available they will try to honor your request. If you want more days than 7, you select the 7 day option and then write in the comments section (where you enter your credit card info) that you marked 7 days but really want "X" days. He said that all orders are reviewed prior to your credit card being charged, and a confirmation email is sent.

Based on this info, I ordered the 7 day tix and requested 9 days in the comments section. I received an email shortly thereafter confirming the order, but it shows 7 days. I'm hoping to receive something that confirms whether I have the 9 day tickets.

I asked the CM about the adult chaperone and was told that kids under 13 are required to be accompanied by an adult. Everyone in your group gets the discounted tickets during ind. enrollment. If the class does not meet the minimum numbers, the families who signed up are contacted and they try to get you into different classes. If that doesn't work out, you can still use the discounted tickets.

does anyone know if there is a program for a kindergarten girl?
also what happens if you dont show up that day? We are leaving on the 23rd at night and really want to do this for our 8 yr old but what happens if something comes up that day and we cant make it? also is there a diffrence in adult/child pricing?
TIA

Thanks for asking/confirming this! I was already thinking this would be the "deal breaker" part if one of us didn't get to stay with DS so you have re-ignited the "hmm.... :cool1:" this might work for a June trip? I need to go read the other 60+ pages!

I would love to hear other experiences with this as well! :)

Now, off to do some reading! :thumbsup2

You'd just have to check the schedule for programming for your date. Child/adult pricing is the same. If you no show you can be blacklisted from the program, so if someone gets ill be sure to call and let them know.

Has someone actually been blacklisted? Or is that just a wild "a" guess?
