Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

I called Monday about any future plans for OE in late October or November and was told as of right now they do not have any planned but this is the first year they offered it so they are really trying to work the kinks out. She also told me normally they released dates months in advance but this last release was only weeks so I should keep checking back. So lets hope for more open enrollment dates this year yet.

Question: We are staying at SSR (thru DVC points), wanting park hoppers/water park tickets for 7 days. I think I read we could not do the dining plan if we have the discounted YES tickets - is this correct?

If we can do the dining plan, we have a 5th grader and 3rd grader interested in the YES program for May 2011.

Just a reminder - I am coordinating a Wild By Nature class in the morning on Saturday, December 18th.

PM me if you are interested.

If you are staying on points then your tickets are not tied to a package and you CAN still add the DDP to your reservation, no problem. You do not need to buy full priced tickets. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the thread. I have learned so much. I do have a question, I want my son to attend the Sept 25 class, but I didn't want to pay until Sept 17. Do you think I will have enough time, does the class book up fast? I'm a little confuse with buying the tix 7 days in advance. If space is avab is it to late to buy tix on Sept. 17 if attending the class on Sept 25?

I bought my tickets on Monday before our Friday arrival. I called and was told it was no problem since I would be picking the tickets up there. The only problem you may have is if the particular class you want is full. The gentleman that I talked with said that if they have a child who is interested in the program they will do everything possible to be sure that they are able to attend.

I am looking for any YES program Dec. 10-14. Anyone have any information? TIA

I'm so excited I put the money together and got the tickets. I was able to get 5 Premiums for 8 days for only $984. I saved so much money, this year we were only doing the base tickets, now we have hoppers and the water parks.

Plus my son age 7 will love the program, we are doing the Wild by Nature. I wish my younger son could attend but he's only 3.

Disboards are great Thanks Thanks Thanks :banana::banana:

A couple of questions about the YES individual enrollment tickets:

1. They're not upgradable in any way, if I recall earlier posts?

2. If I get the 5 day premium tix and I'm in WDW 6 days, can I use them for 6 days by making 1 day just a waterpark/Disney Quest day and not going to any of the theme parks on that day? Or do they expire after 5 days?

the five day premium ticket gives you 5 days of parks PLUS 5 visits to waterparks AND Disney Quest as well. Hope this helps.
Stay well,
AnnMarie

The tickets are good for seven days before your arrival and seven days after, so you will be fine using a day after your 5 days. Actually, you could use several days before or after.

Thanks! So the 5 day premium could actually last for as many as 10 days if you did 5 park days and 5 waterpark/DQ days?

Yes, 10 days of fun. And if you happen to need a day of rest in the middle somewhere, no problem the tickets are good for longer. When you purchase you put in your arrival date and departure date. The tickets are valid 7 days prior to and after those dates. I guess they give you a week window either way in case you have to make any slight schedule changes (since the tickets are non-refundable.)

I am signing DS up for a class. Help me understand this....

We are getting 5 day MYW base tickets. Does the day of the program take one of my days from my tickets making me only have 4 days left or is it 5 day tickets IN ADDITION to the program day? I hope this makes sense! Trying to figure out if I need to get the 5 or 6 day.

You MUST have a ticket to enter the park where the class is being held. I had the same question and this is what I was told. If you have the premium, you're ok to do the park where the class is being held, then leave and head to the park you want to be at if different. Have fun!
Stay well,
AnnMarie

You set the date range you want to use your tickets during and you do not need to use tickets on consecutive days. We added an extra week beyond when we thought we would be utilizing our park hoppers just in case because there was possibility that we would be visiting nearby family during our trip and then we would need additional time to use up remaining days on our tickets.

You can call info number at YES and they are extremely helpful answering questions regarding how to date tickets, etc.

Best wishes :goodvibes

I could have sworn I posted this earlier, but don't see it here....

When we went in June, our arrival date was June 18 and our departure date was June 26. Our YES tickets were dated June 11-August 3. So, my 7 day tickets could have been used any day during those dates. I imagine if you had a 2 week trip, you would have a whole month to use them.

Hope that helps.

Marsha

I am four days from picking up my YES tickets.
Can anyone tell me if I can change them to premium tickets at this point?

Your best bet is to call Sara or Heidi and ask. It is the way to go for sure. I figure if it rains, we can go to Quest and if we want a break from the rides, hit the water park. For the little difference in money, it is certainly worth it. Good luck.
Stay well,
AnnMarie
