Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

The charge posted to my credit card on Wednesday. Hopefully that means my tickets were shipped.

$424.94 for (2)10 day park hoppers with water parks, including taxes, the $4.50 registration fee and the $10 shipping and handling fee.

Now I just have to hope the class DD chose gets the minimum number of participants and we don't have to select an alternate.

I have never planned a Disney trip on such short notice before. It's kind of strange not having months to think about every detail. I made ADRs at 'Ohana dinner, 'Ohana breakfast, and Liberty Tree breakfast. That's it. We didn't plan out any park days or anything -- no itinerary other than working around the Y.E.S. program and our few ADRs.

Wow, this sounds like such a cool program! My kids would love to go to those classes (and so would we)! Are they on the same dates every year? We are planning on next Jan some time, I might have to make sure it is during those dates with the hopes they'll do this again.

I would email them to ask when they will be shipped. I was charged on December 21st and didn't receive my tickets until January 5th.

You should call Sarah and ask 407-566-7647. From what I understand she is in charge of the program, and she is very helpful.

We would not be going this month if it wasn't for this program. Not only do I think it's a great opportunity for my DD, but it was also a good deal. We bought the tickets through the Y.E.S. program and booked our room at Pop with the current room-only discount deal.

If they do this again in September, and we have the money, we may go back then. My SIL and her family are considering it as well. They couldn't go this month, but would be able to make it in September if they offer the open enrollment again then.

DS attended class today at the AK. It was quite cold, so the animal activity was poor, at best. I think there were 10 kids, ranging in age from maybe 7 (?) to 13. DS enoyed himself and I think the 2 CM's did a good job of making it fun despite the lack of animals.

One thing to keep is mind is there is an age range, since families just sign up for a date and program, unlike a school group, where things are more tailored to a specific age or grade.

My only glitch was that DH picked up the passes with DS. He had no issues getting them (I had emailed Michael Sines in advance to confirm this would be okay), but dh was charged for the tickets a second time. We got the money refunded back, but it could have been a problem if he hadn't had a credit card. My guess is that it won't happen again.

I would certainly recommend the program.

Got a call today that one of our classes did not get enough sign ups, and was being cancelled. LUCKILY we signed up for 3 programs all together, and were able to switch the dates for 2 of them so that we could still take that class on the following day, when it had enough participants.
Unfortunately, we planned it that way date wise because EMH would allow us to take park transport, now I have to check if we have to get a taxi.
Still super excited!!!

Wild by nature on 1/25 is cancelled. Instead we switched to Wild by nature on 1/26 which is a definite, moved Ocean Discoveries to 1/25 which is definite.
We are also confirmed for Properties of Motion on 1/27.

She said they will be sending out emails early next week with confirmations

Thank you. We signed up for Synergy in Science on 1/25. If our class gets cancelled I guess we could switch to something on the 26th. DD would prefer to do Synergy in Science, but I'm sure she'd enjoy Wild by Nature if she has no other choice, lol.

Did anyone see the posting awhile back in regards to the Y.E.S. program? One of our fellow DIS'ers has put together some information on what you have to do if you are not a home schooler but want to participate in the learning programs at Disney. She has even created a facebook page with the information? If someone will tell me how to link this to her thread, then I will find it and post it here.

I registered for the program and got us all the great discount tickets, but when they came fedex, they were all youth tickets? Did I mess it up? I thought I got 2 adult tickets and 1 youth ticket. Are the only tickets available through this program youth? I called Sarah and left a message... help?!?

Since it ia youth program they are all labeled youth. no worries.
