Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

We were able to pick up our tickets at DisneyQuest yesterday. We picked them up fairly late, it was after dinner at T-Rex. I would guess it was after 9pm.

Glad to hear this. My plan is to go to DTD/DisneyQuest the day we arrive. Its nice to know we can get our tickets there.

This is crazy but the craziest thing is I am starting to understand!!
Well, at least we are registered for the class (in the HS program...even though we won't be able to do the 10/3 class) I'm not going to worry about $$'s difference, its not that much. Just glad we got in too!!

Yep, that's what I'm thinking too. For us it's a $32 price difference, but at this point seeing that the class is now closed...I don't know if it's worth re-resgistering for it. I'm just happy we got in.

This is one crazy program!!! I think part of the problem is that the registration and the classes are handled by two separate entities. Glad to hear Oct 7 has filled, so the class is a go!!

It states only one adult will be permitted to attend class even if there is more than one child attending; it states that on top of 2nd page of registration and 3rd page too where you have to check box that you understand the conditions of the program, these are the pages that are following the page where it says 'Welcome, etc.' & you input travel dates and check class you want. I do not know of any way around this, but it doesn't hurt to call YES and ask them because ultimately if something can be done it would be with their say so not what anyone who posts here thinks.

Hmmm. I don't remember this when signing up. I was under the impression it was one adult per child for individual enrollment.. at least when I signed up for our class in March.

You can sign up one adult per child up to maximum of 3 adults to purchase YES Tickets but it states only 1 adult may accompany to class. I think it is always good idea to call, especially since there have been recent changes on the registration website so what's stated there may not be spot on accurate. (from what I remember the site was outsourced and built by another entity, etc.)

When we signed up for our class in June for an August class, I was able to sign up 2 adults for the class. We bought total 3 children tickets and 3 adult tickets.

I just wanted to follow up with how our class went. We did the Ocean Discoveries class at Epcot on July 27th. All 6 of us went to the class - My mom, DH, DD14, DD13, DS9 and me.

We got the 6 day park hopper and more tickets - we used all 6 days of the park tickets and visited Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and DQ each one day.

The class was fine. It was not super exciting, but the kids enjoyed it and thought it was kind of a special treat getting to have some pretty personal attention. There was one other family in our group - a mother, 2 teenaged boys and 2 girls probably around 7 and 9. The whole thing was in the Nemo building at Epcot. We got to see a dolphin trainer working with a dolphin, the kids had to try to find a list of fish in their huge aquarium, they had to try to put materials together to make a safe net to fish with and probably a couple more things I'm not coming up with right now. At the end, we all rode the Nemo ride together and the class was over.

Anyway, I just want to thank everyone on this thread because I would have never even heard of this without all of you and it ended up saving my family over $600 on this trip!

Let me know if anyone has any quesitons about the class or anything else that I can help with.

Thank you. I think where I am confused is that on my receipt there is a program fee charge for each of us, and I assumed that was for the class. I forgot to call today, and will try tomorrow. Not a big deal either way. I am glad to figure it out now and not drag my husband to the flag pole at 8:30 in the morning just to send him away.

I thought the count had to be 10 kids(not sure if that's a number that sounded right to me or maybe I read in the thousands of pages of threads).... so maybe 20 people if every child has a chaperone, which may not be the case depending on age?

I'm not sure what the total is, but in our group we had 7 kids and 4 adults. But, there were at least 4 "teachers" with similar sized groups doing the same program. The each just started with a different part of the program.

Thank you for posting, I feel so much better about it! I realized that our first full day falls on an Morning EMH MK day and I would hate to waste my EMH at TTC getting our tickets!

Hello there! I'm also so excited about this program and in a panic about getting my kids enrolled. I follow the directions to sign them up as individuals...I put in the date we are going but but then it says I need to choose a class but nothing is listed Am I doing something wrong or is it too early for Jan/Feb? I would think it would just say that if it was true. TIA
My kids will enjoy this so much and the savings will make a huge difference to us!

I'm pretty sure you can just check this page: http://www.disneyyouth.com/individual-enrollment/catalog/?location%5B%5D=WDW&filter=startDate for dates, without having to go through the registration process each time.

For those of you who have been to a class...what is the actual size of the YES ticket? I usually have a nice little pouch that I keep the KTTW in and need to know if this will still work. TIA!

The tickets look exactly the same as a regular Disney World ticket if you have ever seen them. They look like thick paper (I think it's actually Tyvek). It is slightly smaller than a KTTW card.
