I have a question I was hoping someone maybe able to help me with. We have annual passes but my daughter would like to take the class. How would I fill out the form if I only need to purchase the class?
Thanks,
PammyPoppins

Unfortunately, there is not a way for AP holders to only buy the class. You would have to purchase the minimum package. You may want to confirm that by calling the YES office, but I'm sure I have read that here many times.

When I signed DS(13) up for the Oct 7 homeschool class the original information we received about it opening in individual enrolment turned out to be incorrect, according to the rep I spoke to when I called that afternoon. Long story short, this class and the other homeschool add-ons are now available for individual enrolment! (I had been rechecking the site, but it was a PP on this thread who I can thank for the info - yeah DIS!)

I called the number at the bottom of my confirmation and was allowed to register under individual enrolment (we cannot attend the Oct 3 homeschool class and had to pay an additional amount for the Oct 7 class) and the rep then credited my original transaction. It saved me $32 so instead of $659.61 for the class with three 8-day premium tickets (tics with park hopper and 8 water park fun and more visits, I've paid $626.76. The rep I spoke to was named Dave and he was extremely pleasant and helpful. (The credit is a little less than the original add-on charge of $56 because homeschools tics are slightly cheaper than individual enrolment tics.)

I know there may be others in the same situation, so just know that an adjustment can be made should you be unable or not wanting to attend the Oct 3 class. It sounded like fun however we were unable to work it into our plans.

I would love more info on picking YES tickets up at Disney Quest, especially how late the will call window is open and if we have to use the window specifically for groups. I thought I read somewhere that the group window closes at 4pm, that would ruin my plan if that's where we have to go.

We were able to pick up our tickets at DisneyQuest yesterday. We picked them up fairly late, it was after dinner at T-Rex. I would guess it was after 9pm.

I have another question. We bought the premium tickets with waters parks and more. I bought the five day pass. Do I understand that gives us 5 days of park and another 5 days of water parks? If so we're thinking of extending our vacation. We've never bought anything other than base tickets so this is exciting!

If we can not pick up our tix. until the day we have the class do we just go extra early before the class to pick them up?? Our class is at 8:30 at AK!

Hi!

Have YES programs ever been available in the month of May? We are going at the end of the month in 2011. When to they typically release class dates for indv enrollment?

thanks!

That's right! We went in July with 6 day premium tickets. We did 9 days there. We did 6 park days (only hopped once), we did one day at Blizzard beach, one evening at DQ, then one day we went to a movie that morning, then did DQ for a couple of hours, then Typhoon Lagoon for the afternoon. It was wonderful! We never did the water parks or hopped before.

Just a note, you get 5 DAYS of parks, but 5 VISITS to the waterparks and DQ. So when we did DQ and TL on the same day, that counted as 2 of our plus visits. Does that make sense?

Yes! That's very helpful. We're think of extending our hotel stay and spending two of our days at the water parks, 5 days at the parks, and maybe an evening or two at DQ. My kids have never seen DQ. Thanks for responding!

100acre, yes, that gives 10 visits. :)

lovey, give yourself plenty of time. It took awhile, and there might be several others in line because of the class.

Hmmm.....maybe we should plan a stop at DTD the night before to pick up our tix? ;)

gee, if you must! We will oftentimes go to dtd our first night in, and then take the boat to port orleans for beignets. I have great pictures of my boys covered with powdered sugar. :cloud9:

So if you orginally signed up under HS enrollment, booked the Oct 3 HS class, booked the Oct 7 IE class, then needed to cancel the Oct 3 HS class, you are entiled to a small refund?

If so, we just took the Oct 3rd class off via Dave and he didn't mention crediting back any difference. Hmmm...

If you want to reregister under individual enrolment for the full class/tics amount, you should get a full refund on the homeschool registration. I did! I explained to him that I would have registered for individual enrolment in the first place but was told that the classes would not be available through individual enrolment (well, that was the story on the day I registered...not what I was told well prior to that day!)

O boyo - learning lots and lots here!

I guess it makes sense that the Oct 3 HS class cost is "built" into the ticket package even though it wasn't itemized on my email. It only showed premium tickets and Oct 7 add-on class cost. That's why I initially thought that all the classes within that period were considered "Homeschool Day(s)" classes, not IE.

And thank you so much for the added info!! :goodvibes

For a time these classes were listed under individual and then they weren't and then they were again! :lmao:

We are planning to do YES in October as a family. Am I reading correctly that each group of students (which would be our two kids) can have only 1 chaperone? So my husband or I one would have to sit out? If that is the case, is there a way around that? To book one parent and one kid as a "group" and then the other pair?

Thanks.

It states only one adult will be permitted to attend class even if there is more than one child attending; it states that on top of 2nd page of registration and 3rd page too where you have to check box that you understand the conditions of the program, these are the pages that are following the page where it says 'Welcome, etc.' & you input travel dates and check class you want. I do not know of any way around this, but it doesn't hurt to call YES and ask them because ultimately if something can be done it would be with their say so not what anyone who posts here thinks.

I'm sure this has been answered before, so please accept my apology re: duplication. But I've been through many of the pages and have not found the exact answer.

We have a family of 7 going in January (mom, dad, ds20, ds19, ds17, ds13, ds10), and are hoping that the three under 18 will be able to attend a YES individual enrollment class. The older 2 also want to go - and are willing to be there as the "adult" for their brothers who are actually enrolled.

The three boys attending have very different interests and will likely want to attend different classes. In January 2011, it looks like many of the classes were scheduled on the same day (Tuesday). If I have 3 kids attending 3 different classes, will I need to register them seperately on the Disney website? Or can I register a specific child for a specific class all under one family registration?

Also, can I register 4 adults and 3 children under one registration or only 3 adults and 3 children?

Thank you!

Only 1 adult per attending child is able to purchase tickets up to a MAXIMUM of 3 adults so one of your adults would not be eligible to purchase under this program and would need to buy non-Yes park tickets. Also, see my reply to poster mcjunkin above; registration form states only 1 adult may attend class even if more than 1 child is attending that same class.

It is possible to use the same registration form for your entire family; when you check class you would then enter the name of the child attending and add the name for their accompanying adult that will be attending the class with them.

Call YES group and ask because you will need your tickets to enter the park so you can attend the class; be sure that Will Call Window opens early enough because it does take time for them to code and issue the tickets & an inexperienced CM could delay you further, that happened to us last summer but it wasn't a big deal for us because our class didn't take place on the day we picked our tickets up.

During May 2011 they did not have individual enrollment classes; Individual Enrollment dates for 2011: January through second week of February, and end of June through October. Dates are usually released couple months before ( approximately 3 - 4 mos )

:) hth

Yes, confusing! :faint:

Re-registering makes so much sense now that I'm understanding the differences between HSdays and IE.

Once again, thank you for your help! :goodvibes

Disneydreamgirl, it appears our Oct 7 Animation class is now closed or at capacity. I'm glad we got in! :cool1:

Ok...then I'm thinking I should re-register too.

Then again......looks like it's too late!! It says closed.

This is crazy but the craziest thing is I am starting to understand!! :crazy2:
Well, at least we are registered for the class (in the HS program...even though we won't be able to do the 10/3 class) I'm not going to worry about $$'s difference, its not that much. Just glad we got in too!! :yay:
