We're hoping for the October class! Promise to give us a report, especially if no one out there comes forth with their experience? :goodvibes

We are also hoping for the Oct. Animation class. I've been checking often for it to open....my DS12 will be disappointed if he doesn't get in.

My DS is 13 and all three of us are looking forward to this class...I have literally been stalking the YES website as I don't want to miss out! I hope we both get in!!!

I am new to Disney Yes Program. From what I can see individual enrollment is closed for the end of August, unless I am doing something wrong?? Is there any groups I can join or is it to late? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks

P.S. I have two children, ages 6 and 8.:goodvibes

I don't think you are doing anything wrong...site is listing closed from what I see too. At this point it is probably best for you to call YES office asap and ask about whichever class or classes you are interested in, you never know there could be a cancellation, of course don't count on it but you have nothing to lose by making the call so I'd at least give it a try.

Good luck :goodvibes

I am confused about who I can purchase tickets for through this program. My 9yo dd and a parent would take a class, so purchasing their tickets is straightforward. I also want to purchase tickets for the other parent and 2 siblings who aren't old enough for the classes. Is this possible?

List everyone you want to buy tickets for, then just select the 2 who will be attending for the class selection part.

Wow! every class from now until Sept 9 is closed!

How competitive is it to get into?

It all depends on your timing and on the class--we signed up in March for a Physics class on August 23. Our 1st choice was the Wild By Nature class on Aug 24 but I was a bit reluctant to sign up early because of the tickets being non-refundable. So we lost out on it--by mid-March that class filled up and closed.

Does anyone know when they will post/open up the classes for June 2012? How far in advance do they let you buy the tickets? Now is June - Oct so maybe Feb 2012 to book for June 2012?

I bought mine for August in February--they had just opened up the dates for summer. I would say Jan/Feb, but just keep an eye on the site.

Hi, I am looking to join a group for the week of 8/29. I have 2 children as well - ages 5 and 8. There is a program entitled "Things That Move" for 5-8 year olds. If we can find 6 more kids to join, we can start a group.

We got 8 day hoppers with waterparks & more in the end of March. As far as I know they are still available. You couldn't see them from the main selection pages but as you started ordering and filled out your information they became available as an option. 8 days was the maximum ticket length.

I just tried PM'ing you, but your box is full.

I'm strongly considering taking your advise: getting the 8 day parkhopper YES passes and dropping DDP.

But I'm having a real hard time finding prices--even 2011 prices-- for the 8 day pass.

Do you, by any chance, remember where I can find them?

Thanks for your help!
Alice

We just returned from WDW last week. We had the YES tickets - 8-day park hoppers with water parks & more option, and they were around $210. Of course, there may have been an increase with the recent WDW ticket price increase, but I don't know for sure.

I know that for 7 tickets, we saved about $1200. AND got a class out of it!

I am SO EXCITED about this!!!

I've spent most of the day on the computer, playing with options.

If my guesstimates are correct, we can save close to $400 on the kids' tickets, another $250 if we can get adult tickets too (can we???)

Throw in the AAA discount we can now get by going room-only, and that's another $300- $350.

So this thread, along with whoever first mentioned YES in a thread I saw, coudl save me close to $1000!!!!! Though I'll be happy with those first few hundred. PLUS the classes look fascinating-- my kids will get a kick out of them. Oh, and the teacher in me is eating this all up!!!

Gotta LOVE the Dis.

Hi! Sorry.. I get lazy about deleting pm's.. I think I've had the same ones for years:rotfl: It's cleared out now:)

If I remember correctly, someone broke down the prices in this thread. I haven't the first clue where it is, but I have some time and will do a search.

I can give you the totals for our tickets for now though.

8 day park hopper with water parks and more 178.92 x 4
Class Fee (for all four of us) was 30 x 4
Express shipping was 10.00
Taxes were 43.68

Grand total was 889.36

They no longer express ship.. all tickets are Will Call.

ETA) My Party is 3 Disney Adults, One Child. However the YES tickets don't distinguish. It's the same price for either. Also, not everyone in your party needs to take the class. If only 2 of the five of you do, I imagine only those two are charged the class fee.

OK, as soon as my son gets off the other computer, it's time to email my travel agent.

This is simply too good a deal NOT to do.

Thanks to all for your help.

From what I've read on this thread, Disney no longer allows individuals to start up their own groups.
