Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

The yes tickets aren't tied to 14 days but to date of arrival and departure, I think.

The tickets are good from 7 days before the date you say you'll arrive, and 7 days after the date you say you'll leave (to take into account any last-minute changes, I guess), and you can't add days or the no-expire option, or make any other changes to the tickets (we tried to see if we could pay for the no-expiration one year and they wouldn't let us). It doesn't matter when you first use or activate the tickets - they're only good for the dates printed on the back.

Park days don't have to be consecutive, and the entries to the waterparks and other places can be used throughout the length of the ticket (each entry counts as one unless you're returning to the same waterpark or whatever in the same day - then it counts as one entry).

My reply above to TalulaBelle is specifically about MYW tickets (Magic Your Way tickets aka "regular" tickets) which is the kind of tickets she & her family had when she was given incorrect information on how they can be used/expire by CM.

:)

No need too. :) It did seem on re-read that I could've been more specific when I answered her.

Thanks for your reply - I don't think I will waste my energy emailing guest relations though - I know they wouldn't do anything about it because I;m sure I signed SOMETHING with teeny tiny print saying I understood how they worked. It does urk me though since that would have been 7 more days of DISNEY! I don't know if I would have used it every day - since we were really enjoying my brothers family at the beach - but still!

Really - I think you need a degree in planning/logistics etc. to plan a Disney vacation - I have been on these boards for years - planned several vacations, read other boards like Mouse.savers etc. and I STILL didn't know something major like that....goodness gracious!

I just registered DD14 and DS16 for The American Story. It was the only option available during our vacation; I'm excited that any are available at all.

Four 5 day park hoppers plus a Disney program for $678!?! WOW! Thanks to the Disboards for the incredible savings plus a bonus learning experience.

Are there any reviews of The American Story?

If anyone who is signed up for the October 17th Ocean Discoveries class switches or moves to another class can you PLEASE let us know on this thread that there is an opening? I will keep fingers crossed that this may happen and I can call WDW and BEG to add DD9 to the class--I was a day late and it filled...:(

THANKS!!!

My 2 DDs are enrolled in Ocean Discoveries in July and DH and I will accompany them. What do parents do during the class? I know we can attend with them but do we watch or get to participate? I think I have read most posts in this thread :surfweb: but I don't remember seeing any mention of what the adults do. :confused3

okay hoping someone can help me, I tried searching the thread but couldn't find what I was looking for:

since on the site the prices only go up to 5 day premium packages, how much is the 6 to 7 days ticket packages?

and just want to confirm how many tickets can you get per child enrolled???? and it is only for immediate family now?

and age 5 is the youngest that can go?

and if 2012 dates are announced, does anyone know when that usually happens?

I'm thinking if I can get these tickets and rent from http://www.vacationcentralflorida.com/home.html I'll be saving so much more money than if we did free dining and have to stay at moderate(I'm calculating that being around $2,400)

thanks :) :lovestruc

Also watching/waiting for 2012 classes for end of Sept. My grandkids are going to love this!
Can the whole family still get the YES tickets? (2 kids/4 adults- Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa)

They have changed it to one ticket per child except in the case of a single child family (both parents can get tickets).

If you go through the registration process you will see the cost for the tickets up to 8 days (just stop when you have to enter credit card info)

Younger children can get tickets but I believe classes start at around age five.

Yes, you will definitely save more than with free dining and have TONS more space at Windsor Hills than at a moderate.

They have been announcing dates from around three to six months out.

Just signed my 3 kids and my niece up for the Wild by Nature class on August 2. They are excited!!

I'd love to know this too! I haven't seen too many reports about the classes. I'd love some reviews on the Ocean Discoveries class as this is the one we are taking too.:)

When DD 12 did that class last year, parents just tagged along for the most part. However, we did have the opportunity to join in on two of the portions of the class.
Now, I do not know if this is always the case, or if it was because half of the kids were no-shows and they needed extra bodies.
Possibly if the class is full, parents may not be as involved as we were.
Maybe someone else will chime in with their experience.

Not buying yet, but I wen thru the registration process and signed up my children putting ages 13,12, and 5(I'm actually wondering how strict they would be, if I signed up kiddo up for a class next year end of Sept. it will be a week 1/2 shy of his 5th bday :confused3) and I put down my, dh and my sister as adult chaperone for the 3 kids and it was allowing me buy all 6 of us tickets......is this right? So can my sis also get a ticket if she'll be the 3rd child chaperone?

This is what it said about signing up w/ adult chaperone etc, saying "immediate family members and adult chaperones" seems a lil confusing to me:

Welcome to Disney Youth Education Series Individual Enrollment 2011!

Please provide the first names and ages of students/youth, who will be participating in the programs.

Provide the name of the primary Adult registrant.

You can enter the names of up to three (3) additional adult/chaperones in your group ‐ immediate family members and adult chaperones only. Important: You cannot register more adults than there are students except for two parents of one child. (e.g. If there are two students you can register no more than two adults).

You must enter each person's name that you will be purchasing tickets for on this page and you must purchase a ticket for each person listed.
Please check box to certify you have read and understand this message.

Wish i had known about this program when my boys were young (now 25, 23,20) as all three are disney fanatics they would have loved doing these programs.

If your sister is attending class with one of the children it should probably be fine; you will know when you do actual registration (submit completed registration form along with credit card number to pay for tickets) and receive confirmation email from YES or if you've got any questions call YES group and tell them about your sis attending with one of the kids.

Good luck :goodvibes
