Thanks for your reply but unfortunately we will be staying offsite, guess he'll just have to drop us off and find a way to kill the time. Don't see my 4yo sitting patiently under a flagpole for 1 1/2 hrs. :D

Downtown Disney could be a solution & parking is free; I'm not certain exactly how early shops open but I know that some locations serve breakfast ( Earl of Sandwich does) but it's still nice place to stroll around and they could take boat from there over to SSR or OKW or Port Orleans resorts for counter serve breakfast or snack and do some resort exploring.

I have a couple of questions that I think have been answered, but I want to make sure I understand.

We arrive July 3, but the class my DD (17) wants isn't until July 12. The website says tickets are good 7 days prior to planned arrival. I had thought it was 7 days prior to the class, but if the arrival date is what they go by then we should be fine, correct?

We need the 8 day hopper tickets. I think I saw those prices were $191 (ish). Is that correct?

Finally, I have an AP and will not need the ticket, but my DD doing the class and my 20 year old DD will. Is it going to work to purchase 2 tickets? Are the names printed on the tickets?

I think that's it for now. I'm just trying to decide if this is something worth doing. She will have to take physics next year, and we thought this class might build a little interest in a class she is really dreading in high school.

Thanks!

Be sure to use your earliest possible arrival date and latest possible departure date and you should be fine. Yes, 7 days before and 7 days after the dates that you input.

Who is taking the class with the younger DD? Other AP questions have been answered that it is required that you purchase tickets through the YES program. But I think those situations are where everybody in the party has AP (I think?). The only way to purchase 2 tickets for both DDs would be to list one as the child attending the class and the other as the adult attending the class. Another thought---IS anyone taking the class with the younger DD? Children age 13+ are not required to have a parent in the class. My understanding is that whoever takes the class must have a ticket from the YES office. I could be wrong.

If no one is able to give you a more definite answer here, you should call or email the YES office.

If the park was open it would be totally different, of course, because they would have so many options. :headache:

There is a character breakfast at the Beach Club resort, if he'd be interested in that. They could take the boat over, eat, and take the boat back to DHS afterwards. It would probably take them 2 hours or so, total. (26.99 / 12.99 ages 3-9 / under 3 is free)

Or...they might just go for a ride on the boat, get off and take a walk on the Boardwalk (although there won't really be anything going on that early, they can grab a pastry at the Boardwalk Bakery -- they have really yummy stuff, adorable little mickey head cakes, muffins, etc. -- or just go for a walk). There's a playground at the Boardwalk Resort, on the Villas side, near the pool area.

There's also a character breakfast at Hollywood & Vine, inside the park (DHS), that opens at 8:00. Then they would only have half an hour to wait before they could get in. (26.99 / 14.99 ages 3-9 / under 3 is free)

Don't know the prices right off, but that sounds about right.

You can put your DD20 down as the adult for your younger child and get tickets for both, plus your DD17. I am assuming this is what you meant, since classes are for kids 5-18 years old. Someone would need to be with the younger one(DD20)Just don't include yourself in the registration, since you don't need a ticket.

This is exactly what I was asking. Since I don't need the ticket, my 20 year old will be the adult to sign in the 17 year old. The 17 year old will actually be taking the class by herself, though. So, I'll list the older one as the adult and the younger as the one taking the class and get 2 eight day hoppers. It's kind of neat that it works this way as I will get a little alone time while the other two are off at MK. The class is on our last full park day, so it will be kind of fun to do something different!

I'll make sure to enter our arrival date as July 3 and leaving on July 13, so the tickets will be fine for the entire time.

One more question, once you complete the registration and pay for the tickets, about how long does it take for the tickets to actually arrive?

Thanks everyone!

I think now you have to pick the tickets up at WDW after your arrival.

It never hurts to double check on the shipping thing. The CM I talked to on Friday was adding the $10 to my bill for shipping (we are taking a class july 20th) when I reminded him we were picking them up will call. So you might still be able to get them shipped. They are coming FedEx, no signature needed and I've heard some stories about finding them in bushes because the wind blew them off the door, etc. I figure its no sweat off my back to just pick them up when I get there. 1. I know exactly where they are and 2. I save $10. :)

When we ordered our tickets, it did not give us the option to ship. We are doing it June 15th, and the only option we had was to pick them up at the will call. Either way would have been fine, but shipping would have been easier. Maybe.

I don't mind picking them up. We are at Pop for the first two nights before switching over to AKV. So, we'll check in on the 3rd, get unloaded, drive over to the Studios to pick up the tickets and then back to Pop for a while. The plan is dinner at the Poly then MK for EMH, so we'll have plenty of time to run over for the tickets. Thanks everyone! Now that my daughter is almost too old for the program, I think this will be our only time to use it, but I will be sure to share it with my brother for his boys.

Ahh.. Thought you were going the first part of July. Timing probably has a lot to do with it. Sorry you couldn't get them shipped, but it won't really matter once the tix are in hand! Have fun!!!

Oh, I didn't realize that. Is it at any will call window or a particular place?

When you go through the registration process you will be given a list of Will Call window locations and you pick the one you want ( some locations have longer hours than others I seem to remember )
:)

When I ordered our tickets on April 22 for our Oct 11 class, I was not given a choice of Will Call windows. It just lists the Will Call locations on the printout (AK, Ep, DHS, and TTC). I wondered if that changed in mid-April with some of the other changes.

Thanks :o).. Naa not too worried :) On day 1 we will go to AK, so it wont be bad to go to will call. I ordered the tickets about 6 weeks ago (something like that), but no worries :goodvibes

One final question..I think. ;) Is it possible to go ahead and register for the class now so that it doesn't fill up before I get her registered and not order the tickets at that time? For budget reasons, I need to wait until the end of the month (9 days) to purchase the tickets. Does it all have to be done at the same time?

Sadly, it all has to be done at the same time.

Sadly, it all has to be done at the same time.

I thought that was the answer. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the two classes she can do will have availability by the 31st.

A few pages backs someone had said that there were no plans for Nov. classes. Has anyone called to confirm that?

I stopped following the thread then and just stumbled on it. I wish they would add them. DD would love to take a class or two!
