Disney Y.E.S. Program

I think they are talking about at the class itself.

You should always have ID when picking up tickets at will call for the least amount of issues.

Yes, someone was asking about showing ID at the class.

I would not go anywhere without my ID. Honestly, we never know when a credit card problem could arise, not to mention an accident, etc.

True. I have had my ticket get demagnetized and I had to show ID to get it replaced. It would have been a pain to go back to our room/condo to get it. I always have my ID with me. It goes in my lanyard pouch along with my ticket and credit card.

The 8-11 year old group (and one excited 38 year old Mom) meets at 7:15 a.m. at the Ticket & Transportation Center. Is that where the older kids meet as well?

We will definitely be there early as we wouldn't want to be left behind or keep anybody waiting. DD is my mini me so we should be easy to spot. Both are tall, have blonde hair .. she has glasses and I do not. I'll probably have my red phone in my hand as I'm always on FB or checking something online while waiting. :surfweb:

Hope to see you there ...

Yes, that's the same for the older class too! Hope to spot you and say hi:goodvibes

Hi Nature Mom:cool1: I haven't decide whether I'm gonna stay with the boys (they don't really need a chaperone at their ages...lol) but it would be cool to take the class too. Glad to know at least they won't be alone in the class:thumbsup2

See ya bright and early:rolleyes:

I know what you mean about the chaperone. My DD is eagerly anticipating the day she can go to the classes without me! LOL I figure I have to get in all the classes that I'd like to take part in with her now, cause she won't let me come when she turns 13! :)

See ya bright and early!

Is there anywhere I can look up and see what Disney has done the last few years in Feb? We are going the 7th through the 14th or so lol we have to be headed home by the 16th. Anyway I am trying to figure out if it is likely or not they will offer a class for one of our kiddos during that time. Mine will be 4 4 5 about to be 7 17 and to old lol.

Also do I have to purchase all the tickets I want when I book the class? We are a family of 8 and DD may or may not be getting tickets through another way just trying to figure out a back up plan if she does not.

Just got back from Disney this morning. My 12 year old son did the Wild by Nature class. It was hot, but a really fun class. We did the Safari and walked the trails. Would definitely do this class again.:)

So glad to hear this!! My grandson attends this class next month!!

What time did you finish up? I'm trying to figure out my plan to meet up with DH & DD after they're done with the class.

Hey guys, just had a couple questions about the yes program. I've just discovered this and think this is something my boys would really enjoy on our next trip. We always go last week in July to beginning of August. Looks like from this year they have classes those weeks.. So looking to next year we should be ok. My question is I see only 1 parent can go regardless of how many children. And if I register them for more than 1 class I pay an additional fee per child, but do I pay for the parent also? And if I take them to one program could my husband take them to the other program so we both get to experience the program with them? Looks like this would save us a great deal of money on tickets but beyond that my kids would be super excited to try one of these classes. Any additional info would be great!!

Thanks.

My 2 teenage boys (14 + 15 ) are taking the Properties of Motion class early morning on Friday, Sept 7, 2012:)

Any other Dis folks got kids in that class?:confused3

They are looking forward to it (except for the early start time;))

Just hoping there will be others in the class. I know another posted said she had some teenage girls in that class too, I think. Just chiming in to say hi and see if anyone else will be there :listen:

Just got our DD13 registered for this class and the Captivating Moments on Sep 12.
She is really looking forward to both.
She wanted to do the Energy & Waves on Sep 28, but it closed the day before we got registered.
Hoping someone cancels out, and a slot opens back up for her to take that one, too.

We did WBN last october. You walk on the Maharajah trek to see the bats and tigers, then head over to Africa to learn about the animals you will see on the safari. That is the only ride you go on. Be sure to listen to the instructor to earn clips ;) My kids were 12 and 9 and they loved it! :thumbsup2 We brought along our own refillable water bottles as it does get hot and you do hot thirsty and the water fountain water tastes awful!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing! What do you mean "be sure to listen to the instructor to earn clips"? Clips of what?

I'd love to know this too. The website says it's a 3 hour class but I'm curious if it ends earlier than that.

If you don't mind my asking, what is Disney's YES Programme? I would read through the whole thread but it is hundreds of pages long...;)

Whatever it is it sounds really interesting!

Does this ever happen? Would the class reopen on the website or would I have to call to see if there have been any cancellations?

We finished at 11:30 @ the exit of It's tough to be a bug. the class took the whole 3 hours.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered already 100 times but I need some help. We arrive at WDW on 9/13 and want to pick-up our tickets that day. We'll be at POR so we thought we'd take the boat to DTD since I read we could pick them up there. But where do we go? I've been looking online trying to get a feel for DTD but any specific help would be great. How close is guest relations to where we get off the boat?? We've never been there at all so I'm a total newb :wave2: Thanks!

Did the Ocean Careers tour at the beginning of July! It's definitely worth it to take one of these classes to save on the tickets to the park! We enjoyed it. It is a lot to do in the three hours and you go go go the whole time! Our guide was very energetic and enthusiastic! We will definitely do this again to save on tickets! Our family of four saved over $560 by getting our tickets this way! Next time both kids will hopefully be able to do a class!

If you did more than one class I don't see why you couldn't each take one of the classes.

There was one family on our tour that arrived late and both parents brought the two boys. I also thought there was the rule about one parent. DD12s BFF was on the tour with us and they made a new friend with a girl from TN.

I know you can get them at the guest services by DisneyQuest. That's where we picked ours up. I imagine that is on the other side of DTD, since there is no water near DQ.

You could even sign your kids up for the same class and just do two separate registrations, one with you and one child and then another with DH and the other. Of course, this is assuming their ages both work with one class. They are very strict on the ages specified on the registration.
