I was wondering the same thing. I don't care if we do HS days or individual enrollment, I just want to make sure we can do one or the other, and I have to book our lodging by mid july and I know dates won't be out yet.

I have the same problem. I would love for the kids to be able to take a class this trip but no way do I want to wait until Nov to book a January trip. I wonder why they wait so long to roll out classes for the next year?

The 15 and 12 yr old are in the same class and will be accompanied by myself since the 12 yr old still needs a chaperone. My 7 yr old will be chaperoned by DH in a different class. Both classes are at EPCOT and are at the same time. OK, here's the issue......I also have a 4 yr old. He obviously cannot be left alone running around EPCOT . So, even though he's not signed up, he'll be with me while I chaperone the older boys. Has anyone had this situation before and was it a problem?

This is why I am trying to finagle my girls both into an ages 8-11 class when my older dd will be 12 at the time of travel. We also have two little ones who will be 4 and 17 mos. Dh & I cannot both attend since we can't bring the little ones. I wish the older didn't need a chaperone.

Yes, it is a problem. They will not allow your 4 year old to come to class.

We had this issue because of my work schedule and my DH being with the kids alone for part of the trip. There is no easy solution. We ended up changing the flights around so DH and DS fly down and my daughter will come to work with me for two days and then we fly down and join them. It was the only way for us to get the YES tickets (both for the discount and experience).

I'm curious why you need both of them to take a class? Only one child is needed to take a class to get tickets for both parents and the siblings.

I'm sure one would be disappointed to not be able to take a class, but I'm just not 100% sure what the issue is other than that, unless I'm missing something.

They won't let younger siblings attend the class. It would simply be too distracting. You will have to get a babysitter or reschedule one of the classes so one of you can be with your little one. Like a PP said, you also might call and ask about the 2 older kids being there without a chaperone.

You know, this is a really good idea and not something I had thought of. Both of my girls want to take the class and I'd had fitting both of them into a class together in my head all along. SO, changing gears now, this might work. I'll talk to them and see what we can come up with.

My kids were young once too. We've all had to make many similar decisions during the younger years. We've all been there. Please don't take it personally.

I'm really not taking it personally. Just frustrated with the whole thing right now. We have literally been trying to figure this out for months. I've read over and over on this thread people saying that YES doesn't care if the kids are a little over the age limit but do care if they are under...which I totally get and wouldn't even do b/c that younger child wouldn't get much from the class. And I wouldn't even try to take my little ones with me cause I very much get they are a distraction.

Thing is, I could easily sign my dd up as an 11yo...she is tiny, homeschooled and very "young". She would stand out far more in one of the 12-15 yo or 12-17 yo classes they have. I can't even imagine putting her in something like that But even after reading on here that is was ok, I was trying to do the right thing and check with YES. I still wouldn't be comfortable with lying so I won't sign her up as an 11yo. But it does tick me off

Yes, you can use them to get FP's. You just show your email confirmation and they scan it and give you paper tickets that you use in the FP machines.

I'm certain I read that kids age 13 and up can attend class without a parent. You would need to stay in the same park though.

This! I just booked my one dd for a class and I clearly read that age 13 and over do not need a chaperone but the parent must be in the theme park during the class.

Does the registration say "age at the time of the class" or just "age"? If it's the latter, and she is 11 now, it's really not lying, at least IMO.
