Disney Y.E.S. Program

Interesting...I wonder if the documentation is wrong, or the CMs... :)

I don't know. I was wondering the same thing. Maybe some CMs don't know the tickets aren't supposed to have mini golf, or if it's just easier to encode them with everything regular tickets have. :confused3

Whatever it is, I sure hope ours have mini golf because we're staying at the Boardwalk and planned to walk over to Fantasia Gardens one afternoon anyway. It sure would be nice to have it included. :goodvibes

Well, my DH will not be fully happy until they include real golf like the regular WPAM option tickets do. :p

Four or five people so far have reported being able to use their YES tickets for mini golf. :thumbsup2

Ok, DH's conference is November 3-8.

We decided to go a week prior to his conference in order for him to have a vacation and in order for us to get the YES tickets. We have signed the kids up for classes the week of Oct. 29 and got 8 day premium so that we can have enough days to go both weeks, even when he is at the conference. I thought of getting him just 4 or 5 day passes but the difference in cost was about $25 and I thought maybe he could meet us in the evenings at the parks.

SO, we are GOING!~ :woohoo:

Now to get a place to stay for 2 weeks.

Hi, I'm really sorry if my questions have been asked before. I TRIED to read through the information, but with 250 pages, not possible.

My question is, my youngest son will be going to Disney with his older brother and his wife. My older son will be arriving before my younger son by two days. My youngest son is 14 so he can go to the class alone but my older son will be listed as his chaperone. Two yes tickets will be purchases, one for my younger son, one for my older. Will my older son be able to pick all the tickets up himself, even with my younger son not being there yet?

Also, what type of verification process is there as far as age goes. I know to sign up I just give my younger sons name and age to sign up for the class. Do I have to send anything else to them or with my son? Will I have to provide a copy of his Birth Certificate prior to him being "officially" signed up for the class or does my older son need to bring it to show to be able to pick up the tickets?

Sorry for the questions. I called and the lady on the phone said just sign him up online and thats all that needs to be done. I find that weird, especially online it only asks for my sons first name and age, doesn't even ask for his last name. It does ask for his chaperones first and last name though.

Just wanted some info from someone whose done this before. About someone picking up tickets when all the party is not there yet and if anything needs to be sent prior to receiving confirmation. Just so I know what needs to be done. I would hate for my older son to get there and can't pick up the tickets until my younger son gets there. If thats the case, this isn't going to work since my older son with already be there a few days before my younger son.

Thanks so much for whatever information you can supply

You will need to put your older son down as the primary adult and I believe he may need to show the credit card used for the purchase. So, he should probably make the purchase to make sure everything goes smoothly. You know your daughter in law can get the YES tickets too, right? When there is only one child, you can get still get both adults tickets.

No age verification is needed for the class. If a child looks too old or too young, they would just ask their age. Somewhere on the registration, it does ask for everyone's first and last name, because my final confirmation had my son's first and last as well as his friend's first and last.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Anyone have any reviews or info on the Captivating Moments or Synergy in Science classes? I'd love to know more about what my girls can expect -- activities, attractions, etc. Thanks!

Does anyone know if the kids go on any rides when attending the "American History class" and Disney's Animation class.
Thanks,
PammyPoppins

We did a class in June and were told NO to Mini Golf..

Were you told "no" at the mini-golf? Or in advance?

I called yesterday to ask if it was included and after much confusion on the other end (had no idea it was now included in WPM MYW) he said that the exact wording says waterparks and DQ, so he would expect mini-golf to not be included.

Those who have had luck- aren't there 2 mini golf places? Does one allow and one not?

I would be interested in anyone's report as well. Do they scan tickets at mini-golf like at parks? Curious if anyone has been told they didn't work at mini-golf or just by CMs that have read the description?

On the day of our trip that I would like to sign up for a YES class, it will just be me and both my sons (7.5 and 9). I want to sign them up for the Ocean class, but the oldest son is not old enough to drop off and the younger one is 6 months younger than the age group. Anybody know if they will let me sign him up anyway? Or who to call/email to ask?

My daughter is in the same class.

It would be great to know for sure in case we get to the IG and not allowed through. But if we are both there with our kids, perhaps we could just storm the gate. pirate:

Cool ...I won't be staying for the class -my girls are 15 so they don't want me hanging around, but I'm sure we'll be making our way through WS around the same time. I'll be picking our tickets up at the Gateway on the 17th and will repost to confirm that we can get through early that morning. It's been ok in the past so I wouldn't expect an issue.

I'm not positive, but I think you might have posted to the wrong thread?

Although dinner sounds delish - I love lemon bars!

My kids will be in this class as well. Dad is going with them because they are shy and don't want to go without one of us!

You have mistaken this for the other YES thread: Yummy Easy Suppers

We went to the Captivating Moments class in June. It was great, the instructor was awesome. We walked a bit through future world and into Canada and she taught the kids some basic photography terms and how to make photos more interesting.
We were also able to play mini golf. They scanned the ticket just like they would at a water park. No big deal. You just had to go between the times allowed for the wpfm option. I asked the ticket agent about it when we got the tickets and she said yes, mini golf was included.

They are strict about the age range. Your younger son will not be allowed to attend. You can call the number on the Y.E.S site and explain the situation, but I would be surprised if they allow him.
